On April 4, I received an email from my friend Bruce Stratton at SafeHaven.Com informing me that on April 24 he was calling it quits after decades of involvement in the financial industry.
He was one of the original bloggers, starting about three years before I started my blog.
Thankfully Bruce has found someone else to take over the site, and the content is as good as ever.
As of April 4 Bruce had posted 40,992 articles of which 1,433 were by me. His first post was April 3, 2000.
Check out the recent posts.
Safe Haven still lives on!
Second on the above list is another friend of mine, John Rubino at Dollar Collapse.
Both sites are worth a bookmark.

“Dollar Collapse”?
visited and saw the (obligatory) buy gold and silver header.
I’ll pass on bookmarking ….
Hi Mish
I am not certain, what is happening with the SafeHaven.Com …. but can not be accessed any longer ….. It could be due to restructuring issues and complications …… but the site is down at the moment.
March Wholesales sales +0.7% (February -0.2%)
BUT durable sales went negative … +1.4% –> -0.2%
nondurable sales swung from -1.7% –> +1.6%
mostly due to petroleum going from -10.2% –> +13.5%
Any idea why Bruce called it quits? Would it have anything to do with being frustrated over not understanding the drivers of global capital flows that have caused stocks to rise in the face of global economic contraction?
Safe Haven is one of my top 5 financial news / blog websites.
Mish is also among the top 5.
