The latest eight Brexit polls look like this: 5 Leave, 2 Remain, 1 Tossup.
Remain MPs (members of parliament) now say, parliament will not accept a leave vote.
Apparently, voting doesn’t matter.
The BBC reports MPs ‘Consider Using Majority’ to Keep UK in Single Market.
Pro-Remain MPs are considering using their Commons majority to keep Britain inside the EU single market if there is a vote for Brexit, the BBC has learned. There is a pro-Remain majority in the House of Commons of 454 MPs to 147.
They say it would be legitimate for MPs to push for the UK to stay in the single market because the Leave campaign has refused to spell out what trading relationship it wants the UK to have with the EU in the future.
One minister said: “This is not fantasy. This is a huge probability.”
Another said: “We would accept the mandate of the people to leave the EU.
“But everything after that is negotiable and Parliament would have its say. The terms on which we leave are entirely within my remit as a parliamentarian and that is something for me to take a view on.”
One SNP [Scottish National Party] frontbencher said: “Parliament is not going to let Boris Johnson and Michael Gove get away with murder. I just don’t think people are going to roll over, particularly on our trading relationship with the EU.”
Your Vote Doesn’t Matter
The statement “If voting changed anything, it would be illegal” is often attributed to Mark Twain, but Snopes reports that no one can cite any written reference or speech.
Effectively, the pro-remain MPs they are telling their constituents it does not matter if they vote or not.
One can claim the message applies equally to those voting “leave”, but the leave camp is less likely to take that message at face value.
Get Out!

Confirming what I said from the beginning, i.e. there will be no Brexit…

Cue Hotel California refrain:
You can check out but you can never leave.
I’ve left in a very significant manner, but I paid the price!!!
According to CalPERs, the California state employee pension system, most of the government bureaucrats have their pension checks mailed to Utah, Nevada, and Arizona. They already left.
“You can check out ANYTIME YOU LIKE but you can never leave!”
Showdown coming !
My brother votes No to Brexit but as a Frenchman I would vote yes.
At the same time, people forget that the real co sequence will depend on the exact question submitted…
The reading of result by politicians may be a leap towards EU to counteract the possibility to ever leave (and that high-style politicians lose their privileges).
Everything a government touches turns to cap – Ringo Star
MPs use the EU as their own personal job placement program, so my guess is they want “cush” in their life at the expense of the Peasants. There are 10,000 jpbs in Brussels that pay more than Cameron’s position as PM. Revolution is going to be the only way maybe.
Another applicable quote from another French leader:
“With audacity one can undertake anything, but not do everything.”
Napoleon Bonaparte
And I think Napoleon also said “In politics stupidity is not a handicap.” Like the modern day megalomaniacs in Brussels, Napoleon thought he could rule all of Europe whether Europe liked it or not.
The French also had John Law (an Englishman) telling their King France could just print Francs to pay the government’s bills. Later he issued duplicate stock shares in loss making “companies”. Eventually, angry mobs forced Law to flee France dressed as a woman (the King got a date with a guillotine)
Mark Twain said history doesn’t repeat, but it often rhymes…
Governing 101: The peasants get a say, but don’t get to make the decision. No on Brexit. Ok. Yes on Brexit, we’ll leave as soon as we negotiate a favorable trade treaty. Won’t happen? Ok.
In the USA: Clinton or Trump. Ok. But we get to feel like we are “free”.
I recommend “Govopoly in the 39th Day” by Ed Seykota. Anyone who is familiar with books such as “Market Wizards” by Jack Schwager will recognize Seykota’s name and his reputation as a world-class, but somewhat unknown, trader. He has written a remarkable book that takes a crack at explaining Govopoly (government by monopoly) and the fact that there basically is no end to the “system’s” control until it fails of its own weight. Forget voting, except as an exercise in fulfilling your civic duty. It really doesn’t matter.
If Brexit is yes, parliament will exit in such a way that it makes no difference and business continues as usual.
Don’t confuse the EU with the single market. The referendum concerns leaving the EU. The MPs are talking about the single market and frankly they are right. The best Brexit plan covers this – see http://www.eureferendum.com/themarketsolution.pdf

The Brit bloggers are stating the same thing. Spot on Mish!
Don’t confuse the EU with the Single Market. The referendum concerns leaving the EU; the MPs concern is leaving the Single Market.
The MPs are right. To leave the Single Market on day one would be a disaster – see the only sensible Brexit plan – The Market Solution
This is also known as the Norway Option (Norway is in the Single Market but not in the EU). As The Market Solution makes clear the Norway Option would not be the end destination only a temporary stopping place but to leave the Single Market relying on WTO rules is madness.
Historically, the majority of Americans wouldn’t approve of the Bill of Rights if it was up to a popular vote. But whether Brexit is in the same category is debatable.
Does anyone remember when the countries of Europe started voting to ratify the EU treaty and the people said NO in a handful of countries? And then the rules changed and just the parliaments of those countries voted YES and the whole thing went through?
“If victory (compliance) is in doubt… cheat.”
– page 4 of the Globalist NWO Handbook (co-authored by the Clintons)
Contrary to popular belief, Mark Twain didn’t say half the things attributed to him. In this case, Emma Goldmann said, “If voting could change anything, they wouldn’t let us do it.”
Of course, I prefer my corollary: “If NOT voting could change anything, they wouldn’t let us do it.”
Looks like only a revolt will work anywhere in the world. When is a revolt coming (or will it)… a ‘Let them eat cake’ moment… a moment when the constituency will take the MPs into their hands and treat them as they should be…Where is the match? Once it starts in one country it can easily spread to others… Looks like our future generations will read about this moment as we did about French revolution, American Revolution and the like…
What did I tell You?
See Scotland. See Austria.
Power settles everything.
Democracy is dead.
Let’s stop being so naive. At least acknowledge reality.
Oh, and prepare for crooked Shillery to move into the White House. Have you noticed the crooked media picking the meat off Trump’s bones lately?
Both the liberal and conservative media are tearing him apart. The same difference between the Republican and Democrat parties.
The great experiment has failed.
Voting creates a precedent that can only be ignored at the risk of infamy, so it definitely has value. In this case, an exit vote will get its way in the end. It just depends how many parliamentarians are willing to sacrifice their credibility and careers by ignoring it. The Brits have a long democratic history. They will get their way. It is likely an optimal solution will be worked out, perhaps per the comments by David Jones above.
Mark,
The problem arises if Leave wins. How is the Stay camp going to react? What will that get you?
Same message from Brussels. We can’t let voting change policy. http://youtu.be/rEXDK7OSqd8
PROCEDURES AND RULES FOR A COUNTRY FOR WITHDRAWAL FROM THE EU
Withdrawal from the European Union is a right of European Union (EU) member states under the Treaty on European Union (Article 50): “Any Member State may decide to withdraw from the Union in accordance with its own constitutional requirements.”
No state has ever withdrawn from the EU.
No member state has ever held a national referendum on withdrawal from the European Union, though in 1975 the United Kingdom held a national referendum on withdrawal from its predecessor, the EEC; 67.2% of voters chose to remain in the Community. The United Kingdom will hold a referendum on 23 June 2016 to decide whether it should remain a member of the European Union or leave.
The rules and procedures to withdraw are detailed in the full article below.

Cameron’s immediate ouster after EU vote gains momentum
UK Prime Minister David Cameron is likely to step down the day after the upcoming referendum on Britain’s membership in the European Union (EU), a member of the British Parliament says, noting that more MPs are considering to join the Leave campaign.
Even if the Brexit campaign fails to prevail in the June 23 vote, Cameron’s government is not likely to clinch a victory by a margin bigger than 10 percent, the Daily Mirror reported Sunday.
“That would let him leave in a sensible fashion rather than the bloody mess that it could be,” a backbench MP was quoted as saying by the daily.
According to the report, at least 25 Tory MPs are totally committed to the Leave campaign and can give Cameron a hard time in the build-up to the vote. The number is expected to rise as the voting nears.

Sorry about double posting – I didn’t think the first one worked!
But Cameron has only a very small majority in the commons so, he will come under pressure since the outers can easily bring down his government.
We need to have some executions of Politicians to let them know we are serious, and not their Serfs
There’s a difference between the EEA (single market) and the EU, which is what the referendum is on.
Voting is nothing more than signing off on the corporate media agenda.
Flies voting to leave the spider’s web. Good luck with that.
I agree even a vote to leave will not get them out. a vote to “Brexit” from the European Union still has huge ramifications going forward. A key issue for many watching as the vote grows near is whether a Brexit would also make the UK more vulnerable to its own breakup. The article below explores this and other ramifications of the vote.
