A Brexit poll today shows a 52-48 lead for remain.
Nigel Farage also believes Remain will win, but results in a few hours will tell the complete story.
I initially reported this as a “sample” but it’s not an exit poll.
Bloomberg reports Brexit Poll Suggests U.K. Will Remain in EU With 52% Support.
U.K. voters probably chose to remain in the European Union in Thursday’s referendum, a YouGov Plc poll for Sky News suggested minutes after polling booths closed.
The poll showed 52 percent voted to remain in the 28-nation bloc and 48 percent chose to leave, in line with earlier surveys, YouGov’s Joe Twyman said in an interview on Sky News.
The broadcaster cited U.K. Independence Party Leader Nigel Farage as saying: “it looks like ‘Remain’ will edge it.”
I will wait for the final tally, but 52-48 for Remain matches my prediction a few days ago when asked.

Good call Mish. I too predicted Great Britain would remain. When the government and it oligarchs control the media and the newspapers, the primary outlets for information still it is hard to raise any opposition to Brexit. My hat is off to them for trying as it is close and we may well wake up surprised. Several districts have had problems with pencils so voters started using ball pens at the polling stations were being accused of erasing pencils marks and remarking ballots.
I guess people basically want to be apart of a herd no matter their losses. As time moves on the sovereignty of Great Britain will be handed over to Brussels no matter what their politicians have been telling them. Britain will no longer be special and more and more VATS, Taxes will be placed on the Brits they will need to remember they gave it all away, including their sovereignty.
Farage is just an attention seeker, has now unconceded. Nowadays he does more harm then good, should know when to quit! Have to wait for the first few results, big turnout could benefit either side.
Like I said all along, there will be no Brexit. No polls needed to come to that conclusion.
It does not matter whether the voting takes place in Greece or the UK, the voters always threaten but all they really want it to keep sucking at the EU-SSR tit even if it means losing freedom and sovereignty.
In the end one can always bet on the cowardice of the euro-populace as they always behave like the brain dead ball-less socialist cucks they truly are… 🙂
No need to hold back, Phil. Tell us what’s REALLY on your mind.
We’re all friends here at Mish’s.
Let’s have a background theme ! Yayyy….

I’m still wondering why I should be buying the British Pound on this news…even if wrong. The whole thing seems backwards.
Wouldn’t I be buying Pound Sterling on the news of an exit and then selling on the news of Remain?
Obviously no one in their right mind has been long the US dollar this year as the Federal Reserrve simply rolls over and dies on their “not to be toilet paper” mandate.
Apparently 13.5 billion for a single Aircraft Carrier…with two more on the way…remains insufficient to remind the US Federal Reserve that unlike Britain, France, Germany, Japan , etc the USA has been fighting a War going on 14 plus years now.
Well…thank goodness it’s not all being financed by debt otherwise I might worry Banks might start asking for return for their VAR.
Oh, I forgot…the Fed prints money and makes it worthless because that’s what Wall Street and the Government want.
Well…at least no one is insinuating there might be an asset bubble or two out there…
Leave outperforming in Newcastle, Sunderland and Crawley. Scottish turnout a bit low. Good signs.
I read somewhere that “exit polls” before the voting is done are illegal in the UK.
Also, the polling places stay open until 10pm.
What’s down there….

Early signs very good for leave, need some results before we pop the champagne though, still close.
Leave outperforming across the country, could be a big win.
Keeping my feet glued to the ground Bob, have to – whatever the result, this will have people’s heads off along the way.
Woah; unless I’m reading that graph wrong, that’s quite a drop quickly. I still see the stock future green
Globex stock market futures in the red.
Looks like futures traders believe in leave (at least for the moment).

Early results show slight lead for – wait for it – Brexit!
Up to the minute results here:

It would have taken a lot of sacrifices for a time but in the long run it would have been a better choice to leave.
