A shooting rampage is underway in Munich.
This is an update to Shooting Spree in Munich Mall and Marienplatz Metro Station, Multiple Deaths and Injuries, Scene Videos.
Public transportation has been closed and police Tweeted “stay indoors”. Effectively, Munich is in a lockdown.
The number of attackers is still unknown. Officials are only willing to state that they believe “multiple” shooters are involved.

My wife is off to Sweden in a couple of weeks to visit relatives. It will be interesting to see what stories she comes back with.
They may not have guns, but this is what has been really going on in Germany at the grass roots level. This has been repeated many times over and not reported by the mainstream media.

Good advice. People are basically causing these “incidents” by going out of the house. This aggravates people from other cultures who don’t know they’re not supposed to shoot others who are out walking around. If you all just stay indoors with your lights off and don’t make a sound, everything will be fine. For now. If you must leave the house, please carry one of these “Don’t shoot me, I’m only shopping” cards just to be safe. And please follow our #safe-shopping hashtag on Twitter.

I have been locked in my basement for 10 years straight and have yet to be shot or even shot at.

Germany’s debt was mostly “forgiven” by the debt holders during the Wiemar Republic years, well before Hitler came to power. Only about 1% of the debt was left when Hitler took power.
That which could not be repaid was not repaid. Hitler should get no credit or blame for that.
Actually, the tough laws and police state apparatus were put in place by the Wiemar Republic, the idea being to stop movements on both the right and left (Nazis, Communists). When the Nazis came to power, they were happy to takeover the police state apparatus that the Wiemar Republic had used to harass them. Historical fact. Like with gun laws, there is a warning message here about the NSA and the USA.gov domestic surveillance etc.

When the criminals at the Fed, ECB, and BoJ are openly manipulating markets and cornering prices — trying (and failing) to divert attention away from actual economic problems… geopolitical risk is market risk.

I live in Germany for 5 years and was 25km from Munchen or Munich in English. Populations in Europe are not happy about all of the immigration. I have German friends in Germany and they keep me informed. But like those in the US not a lot they can do.

@old guy — I have lots of family outside of Munchen, a few of whom we have been unable to contact (I think they are just “sheltered in place”, but would still like to know for sure). The relatives who are near their phones are wishing they had someone else to vote for. They are (were?) CDU supporters I think, and they know the alternatives to Merkel are slim — but they have simply lost patience.
The CDU is going to remove Merkel from office before summer holidays, or they will wish had in future elections. Their support base will not forgive them for what she has done.
