6 months Ellis island holding tank.
Then when they pass a Physical.
Pass a mental test.
Swear allegiance to the U.S.
Have $50000 dollars in a Swiss bank
Pass an English speak and write Test.
Then I would allow the into the U.S.
Ellis Island? They all ended up in New Jersey.
Now everyone flies in so there is little “concentration” near as I can tell.
Who knows with this internet thing but the fact remains the USA is a destination for the entire human race…especially if you’re rich and a big spender.
In the meantime there is seemingly unlimited demand for our US dollars, our US debt, our US equities, our US malfeasance, our US Full Retard even.
You want our women too? Its a wonder stocks didn’t go up a thousand points today on that news.
Spend MOAR and apparently you’re just fitting in. “It’s just a lifestyle choice” would appear.
Who here remembers what the euro was priced at when it first went public?
And people think 9/11 was an accident.
Bwhahahahahaha.
Their sign deserves a translation: Welfare Welcome
Politely disagree firmly.
I don’t want them here at all. If a meteor hits their country and the rest is radioactive, I may reconsider. Short of that, they need to stay home.
Even considering how many to accept and under what consider is being hustled.
Here’s one way to hustle someone, as in convince you to do something you otherwise would not do, but make you think doing it was your idea.
1) Insist you (the victim) accept unlimited refugees who became refugees due to heartless, miserable, and totally unacceptable conditions that make you feel a little guilty for not experiencing. You must take them all, no questions asked and support them with your own money. They even have pictures and personal stories that make you want to cry.
2) You refuse, wisely, because unlimited refugees is a blank check on the numbers. You don’t have unlimited resources, you don’t know who is coming over. You probably say ‘hell no’. The person asking you to accept refugees relents, or so it appears.
3) More horrible news comes from afar concerning the refugees. You feel guilty. You are asked what you would accept because, certainly, they are living in misery you don’t live in and you can stick someone else with the bill to feed them. Yo hem and haw, and say no, but not hell no.
4) Well, would you accept really good ones who are vetted, certified as pure of heart, and of documented good health and good character? They are educated and a certifiable credit to non-radical Islam. Even just one? Look at how sad they look. Think of the children.
5) This is called the foot in the door. By not slamming the door and since you didn’t sic the dog on the salesman, you just bought at least one refugee and probably more. You just don’t know it yet.
6) All you need you to say is ‘yes’ even if it’s a weak and highly qualified one. Everything after that is subject to interpretation. You got hustled. (NJ / Ellis Island is a qualified weak yes.)
The one they send over will actually be several, probably hundreds or thousands and none will be vetted in any way other than visible proof none are carrying rifles at the time of US entry.
The only mystery is why US govt officials actually want these people here at all since it’s awfully easy to slip undercover terrorists in with the nice ones. They all look alike. And, believe it or not, people lie. Are they stupid or is there a weird agenda being missed by those who are distracted by even considering the monstrosity of accepting Syrian or any other Islamic refugees into the US.
” Are they stupid or is there a weird agenda…”
There is an ulterior agenda.
There is no mystery why Obama and Clinton want them here.
They will vote democrat, for more free sh*t and for bigger government for generations.
Until they can vote for sharia law.
Liberal, progessive and socialist mind control goes deep.
Google all the western women who had been raped or sexual assaulted but were afraid to report it out of fears of being called a racist.
You can’t change what you don’t possess.
Liberals never have second thoughts, they just blame conservatives.
I must say “the buck stops here” was said by a Democrat (Harry Truman) and not a Republican….and now I know why.
Both sides of the aisle LOVE debt.
Its worse than free wi-fi.
Once 100 million plus start washing up on our shores there might be some second thoughts…but I doubt it.
I swear to God the first flight to the Moon…i am so on that thing.
Spendocrats and Republohoes.
An entire Company has moved itself to Milwaukie just to get the inside track on the next Postal Service LLV.
Has anyone here even Googled the HMMV replacement the US Army is buying?
The thing is literally twice the size of what it’s replacing.
Made in? Yep…Speaker of House’s home state…”Mr Budget Guy.”
Not that I blame him….if someone kept shoving billions down my throat…and these are real dollars…sure, I’ll take the job that goes with that too.
How ironic that prices have collapsed though.
I thought the Fed was trying to create inflation not an entirely new brand of corruption?
I mean seriously…at some point this money will never be seen again.
The cure for trillions in debt and an exploding deficit is not “2 dollars and 95 cents.”
Unless you’re from New York City…where it’s 2 dollars and fifty cents.
Our government is about money. We THINK its about serving the people, but NO, it’s about money. We elect representatives for one purpose and that is to go to their government post and funnel as much money as possible back to their “districts”. Unfortunately the route for this cash goes through a lot of hands before it ever reaching the public, who ultimately had their pockets picked to fund the whole thing in the first place.
What is really funny about all of this is how so many pretend shock and dismay to find out that the thief they hired to steal their money back is actually a crook.
To have a second thought, one must have a first.
Like OMG!! We were like standing in like our safe space, like totally making a cool banner welcoming the terrorists — major extra credit from our prof!! — when like out of nowhere comes this really cute guy yelling “aloha achtung!!” and waving a gun at us. He was like totally not happy, and totally doesn’t know the lyrics to that song. Becky tried to welcome him, and he totally flipped out and like started shooting like everyone. Sara yelled at him to respect our cultural differences, and the guy was like “infidels!” and disrespected our welcome poster
Frank, don’t forget to mention he was trained & armed by the US gov’t. Passports fast-tracked by the CIA. Funded by Saudi money. Given orders by Mossad.
Graduates of some political re-education camp “university”
If you don’t agree with your ultra-left professor, you fail the course (but you still have to pay the student loans)
Like I totally think Becky should address this rad micro-aggression with her cultural inclusion adviser. Sara tried to warn him it was a safe space and even if he was like, a Level Seven in Pokemon Go, she was still reporting him to the campus diversity police. If it turns out he was also using tobacco while he was gunning everyone down, she is going to just lose it!!
I even heard her totally grunged out professor was so stoked because he so remembers the ’72 Munich Olympics when the PLO freedom fighters took out a few Israeli Olympians. Like, as radical as that was, he was still just an oppressed student in those days.
LMAO.
It was the political establishments who, through their media arm, manipulated public opinion with pictures of baby corpses lying on the beach and bloated bodies floating in the sea after their overcrowded boats had capsized. The initial reasons were of a humanitarian nature, a desperate plea that played on public empathy, it wasn’t until much later that the realities of a mass migration actually began to ‘sink in’ as you put it. This has been an engineered event and cynicism toward a gullible public is a low blow Mish, you would be better served aiming it toward those that were responsible instead.
Most of the bodies were of Arab Christians the Muzzie killers threw out of the boats. Even in retreat or flight these people are so hate filled toward outsiders they can gin up no compassion for a fellow refugee. They will treat their new land the same. Anyone who murders a fellow refugee will be among the first to take an AK to a temple or church or violently assault women for not wearing a biohazard slave tent in public. If you Illinois people get the chance, drive down Ballard Road in Park Ridge (hometown of Hitlary) and observe the al Alawaki clones wearing their man dresses and long beards glaring at you with hate on their way to the Saudi financed mosque filled with malcontents.
you don’t have to live like a refugee
My first thought is that they are being paid by George Soros. After that, they are headed to Wellesley College for misfits, to complete their “education”.
My first thought is that they are on George Soros’ payroll, and my second thought is that they are off to Wellesley College to complete their destruction
Hope everyone in the USA has paid their cable TV bills for this month.
After a week of hearing two words from Trump, followed by a hundred snide comments from arrogant “news journalists” — next week we get to hear endless gushing praise about how the first Traitor walks on water and farts rose petals while lying about it.
Then its on to Brazil, where we get to watch athletes run around in hazmat suits trying not to catch the zika virus while avoiding muggers, thieves and the occasional puddle of untreated sewage. The stadiums aren’t ready, shuttle trains are untested and some are still under construction. The local police haven’t been paid, and are telling tourists the country is not safe. The olympic committee is re-instating athletes charged with doping, because the honest athletes have decided not to go.
And if you don’t want to see raw sewage in Ultra-HD, many private security companies are warning that terrorists are planning attacks on the olympics and have hundreds of fake IDs to get into Brazil.
I can still remember when Olympic events were held in colleges stadiums, high schools and whatever already existed.
No one built massive stadiums for a one time event.
I don’t understand how you expect government employees to embezzle money if there aren’t lots of “construction” projects to plunder?
@Frank
That is really awful, they’re embezzling stolen money. There must be some bad parenting going on here.
finger — look up “sarcasm” in a US dictionary
The media will fail to remind us that Brazil has been destroyed by thieving communists and crony capitalists led by Obama’s close gal pal, communist revolutionary Dilma Rousseff. She is obviously much better than Obama as she destroyed Brazil in far less time than he has had here.
Bears are beautiful, magnificent animals. Most of us agree they are part of Creation and we should try to preserve them. But even a fool knows you would not want to invite one to live in your house. Why? Simple, the wild bear does not think like you do. He has a different agenda, and it is most probably in conflict with yours. You want to be nice to him, you want him to like you and he just wants to eat whatever’s available (including you), shit wherever he wants and move on. There’s a high probability he will prevail in any contest of wills.
We can understand this about bears, why is it so difficult to comprehend about other cultures? They, like the bear, have their own agendas. We do NOT all think the same way. There are a number of countries in the world where, if you don’t burp after a meal, it’s considered an insult. We in the west consider that bad manners. Who is right? There is no universal standard, we each have our own opinion. Being aware of this and making the correct adjustments is helpful to cultural understanding but if it’s a big problem for someone to do so, better such people not eat together.
Why is this so f**king difficult to understand? It is not judgement, it is not racism or prejudice, it it simple acknowledgement of the other person’s free will (their right to hate you, as it were) and respect of their choices, the rational response to which is to not get too close to that which is not in harmony with you (such as bears and violent cultures.) One can still “feel good about oneself” while at the same time taking rational precautions to avoid being raped or killed. The self-righteousness and naivete of the self-styled “elite” is simply mind-boggling.
There’s nothing quite as ignorant as youth.
If I had my way Americans under 30 would be prohibited from voting unless they’ve held a steady job for at least 5 years.
The most dangerous young person is a new and freshly indoctrinated graduate from a progressive university – and from what I can tell about 90% of the universities in America are progressive incubators. In my neck of the woods a university tried to suspend a young republican club for an entire year for inviting a controversial gay conservative to speak at a university event. There is no freedom of thought or ideas unless it conforms with those of the university administrators and faculty.
I know it’s even worse in Europe.
You can’t fix stupid in someone under 25 years of age. The only cure for stupidity is life experience.
“You can’t fix stupid in someone under 25 years of age. The only cure for stupidity is life experience.”
Like obesity, it’s an epidemic in the U.S.
LFOldTimer, do you really think it’s about progressive/conservative? L/R? Dem/Rep? It’s all contrivances. That’s what ignorant people break things down into. Party affiliations.
What you’re saying doesn’t even make sense. Suspending a republican club for inviting a ‘controversial gay conservative’ to speak. That sounds like the university is fascist/right wing to me and sounds like the club was attempting to be ‘progressive’. No freedom of thought or ideas is your definition of ‘progressive’?
‘If I had my way Americans under 30 would be prohibited from voting unless they’ve held a steady job for at least 5 years.’ <—What are you? A mini-Hitler? What would being employed for 5 years solve? Would it magically cure ignorance? Would these steadily employed switch to your nazi party?
I will state that I have conservative values myself. But, taking away other peoples right to vote is not the solution.
I conclude you must be under age 25.
Hi Alan,
Based on your response I’m going to assume that you’re under 25, a liberal, jobless and have an Ivy League degree. If I’m close to the truth sorry if I offended you.
You can’t take away a right to vote any more than you can’t subject someone who doesn’t vote to the vote of others.
So who is dictating?
True Cry.
And we’re back to the 2 wolves and the sheep deciding what to eat for dinner.
This is the dilemma we face in America.
The libs are stacking the deck by importing millions of indigent illegals who are dependent upon government services to survive. They supplement the wolves. We’re the sheep. In the end, they win, we lose.
“The only cure for stupidity is life experience.” But even that didn’t cure Obama, Clinton and Sanders.
Ron, the 3 you mentioned are exceptions to the rule. All made lifelong careers out of politics and never put in an honest day’s work in their lives. They are equivalent to 20 year olds who chose a vocation of crime. Emotionally and intellectually stunted. Washington DC is full of the same.
“I do not know the source or date of that image but…”
Would it make a difference?
What if it were college slang welcoming home sorority sisters from Spring Break?
Voters should vote out those bankers already. Bankers caused the refugee crisis in the first place by printing food inflation.
Printing is confiscation. In this case, confiscation of food from Mid East citizens.
They look like soon to be married brides waiting for their husbands…
Most of these social welfare shoppers coming into Europe are male. Most of them claim to be under 18 years old since that gives them right to seek special protection. There’s been many with full beards running around…
I believe that these young ladies will regret their stance in case they develop brains. Otherwise they may very well experience first hand what this multiculturalism means in practice.
These young ladies most likely were paid to hold that banner. Five years ago the EU leaders including Merkel stood up in public and declared multiculturalism did not work. Ms. Merkel now completed her 180 degree turn and knowing her citizens most likely forgot about that speech loves refugees.
I cannot wait for the sharia law to be imposed in many of these countries.
Second thoughts? Heck no! Things are progressing just as the Agenda 2030 agents have planned: Sustainable Development – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sustainable_development#Culture “Cultural diversity is the quality of diverse or different cultures, as opposed to monoculture, as in the global monoculture, or a homogenization of cultures, akin to cultural decay.”
But, don’t worry (even though they claim there are 6 billion too many of us) the “stronger” will protect you… https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sustainable_development#Income “‘The Stronger’ offers real help rather than striving for the elimination or annihilation of the other.”
Welcome? Certainly, but only after a one question test while attached to a lie detector.
Do you support Sharia Law, yes or no?

Not nearly enough. But understand that this is about fashion. That is, it’s the look that counts not any real thought. Much of political life is about posing in the same way that a model does on the runway. As for political thought, it is much the same as the designer, about a look rather than a substance. Remember that for the politician and the designer everything can be fixed by throwing more money at the problem. Obama care case in point.
It’s not what you say, or how you say it. What matters is how you look when you say what you have to say. $500 haircuts and all that stuff. As for the Trump ladies, I say it’s worth every cent.
Great presentation can make a plate of cow dung look fabulous and taste great. It’s why people put lipstick on a pig. Thinking, on the other hand is very hard work which the average individual avoids if he or she can. It’s conservation of energy, a prime directive in life. that’s why its so easy to sell short cuts, now called hacks after all the video game cheat sheets. That’s why there is such a large collection of self help book in the psychology section of the bookstores. Bottom line is that only a few people are helped in that manner. Presentation is about expectations, not actual proof. We judge others more by appearances. And we judge books by their covers. If we are smart then we start looking beyond such appearances but that usually takes some experience and knowledge. The young tend to lack both and many individuals as they grow older tend to ignore experience and disavow knowledge. How else does one explain the great number of women who so rabidly support Hillary?
Munich: Public transportation closed, shops closed, inhabitants (a few million) hiding in their homes…
And just *one* teenager achieved that…
Talk about leverage.
Were Merkel statements referring to an intentional shooting… or an earthquake?
[From Deutsche Welle:] “12.34 German Chancellor Angela Merkel has begun a news conference in Berlin, after convening a meeting of the Federal Security Cabinet earlier Saturday. She told the Munich attack victims’ families: “We share you pain … our thoughts are with you.”
She also paid tribute to first responders and security personnel, saying: “I think of our great security forces … which last night wo rked with the highest professionalism … they are giving all … just like the emergency services.”
Merkel also highlighted the compassion and generosity of neighbors in the Munich area, who opened their homes and hearts to help those stranded following the atrocity on Friday night.
“It is good that we have this solidarity and we have many friends” at this time, the Chancellor added.”
Newcomers to the U.S. are less likely than the native population to commit violent crimes or be incarcerated.
http://www.wsj.com/articles/the-mythical-connection-between-immigrants-and-crime-1436916798
I trust and respect the WSJ.
“Newcomers to the U.S. are less likely than the native population to commit violent crimes or be incarcerated.”
1. Yes, LEGAL immigrants.
2. See “Muslim Americans – Middle Class and Mostly Mainstream”
http://www.pewresearch.org/files/old-assets/pdf/muslim-americans.pdf
See the survey answers on page 5 (Muslim American Views on Islamic Extremism). Note the high percentages of Don’t Know / Refused to Answer for certain questions that should have had easy answers. Also, check the recent headlines for both the EU and the US.
Granted, terrorism in the US is HUGELY hyped thanks to a sensationalist media. The death figures from terrorism are nanoscopic blips in US death statistics. However, to simply claim that one group isn’t statistically responsible for it more than another isn’t supported by the facts.
That survey was conducted almost a decade ago. It really doesn’t apply any longer.
“Thoughts”? Only “feelings” occupy their heads.
As usual our great leader whining about islamophobia. Can anyone explain why after 17 centuries of history of islam; why shouldn’t we be islamophobic? But if you’re a liberal young female who found history boring but carrying banners exciting…
…nah, they are just saying its fine to blow up other countries… a sort of ‘Look at us we’re intact still , come play’ message.
Refugees welcome?
Yes. but what are seeking refuge from?
and what are they seeking refuge for?
the ones we keep hearing about only seem to be seeking refuge from jihadism
only to seeking to wage jihad in the place they are fleeing to.
A Tineye search shows this picture was take in Germany last year. Latest reports state the shooter was born in Germany to Iranian parents, and was shouting anti-immigrant chants and was caught on video during the meele saying: “I’m German.” Investigators examining the house state that the teenager’s room found books/documents related to mass shootings. As an Iranian, he would no doubt be a Shia, but it doesn’t seem likely that he was very devout. Lastly, this took place on July 22, the anniversary of the mass shootings done by Anders Behring Breivik in Norway, killing 77.
How many shootings have we had lately where witnesses initially report multiple shooters but the story always morphs into – single shooter , always conveniently dead?
This shooting had nothing to do with refugees but with someone mentally ill having access to firearms. He grew up in Germany and shot a number of Muslims.
I’m against accepting refugees but creating a linkage where there isn’t one reduces the value of Mish’s blog.
Perhaps all this nonsense was a little premature. It was an 18 year old depressive who was half German and obsessed with guns and the Breivik and school slaughters.
Probably just a matter of time until those 3 young woman are groped or fondled by culturally unrefined male refugees at an EU train station. Then we will see them holding signs that read “Refugees Go Home!”. But by that time it will be too late.
Idealism and stupidity are 2 branches that grow on the tree of youthfulness.
Societies succeed because they’ve built up, usually over centuries, a widely accepted and practiced set of behaviors; social capital built up of predictable actions and attitudes and beliefs. The core of the culture.
Immigrants; who do not have that ingrained culture are likely to be destructive of social capital and destructive to the host society. Despite the gibberish of the lunatic left most people recognize this and quite rightly reject the attempt to destroy their society in pursuit of a crazed political fantasy.
Us verses them

Mish,
a lot of the time, you are on the money. However, this post – I feel that you have missed a trick, as your post incites racial hatred, playing up to the mob mood , with no particular evidence behind it.
a) you have put an assumption that these events are attributable to refugees into EU, and jihadi infiltration at that rather than a home grown nutter. I am not sure of the numbers, but I think the chance of getting ran over at a pedestrian crossing is still higher than that of being victim to Islamic State within EU.
B) you consisrently imply that the refugees are some sort of insurmountable spend that is going to break the EU camels back. Please support this with numbers.
Personally, I think the opposite is true , the demographics within EU suggest that without the inflow of cheap healthy youthful labour, we are doomed to go down the Japan’s path. I might be as clueless as Boris Johnson about the facts, but this is the prevalent feeling most young people within EU have that I have come across.
Yours,
Anton (A Russian and a naturalised Brit)
