Wikileaks founder Julian Assange leaked a set of very damaging emails made by Hillary Clinton. Hillary’s response: “Can’t We Just Drone This guy?”
Journalists and Hillary’s PR staff has some interesting things to say as well.
Wikileaks turned 10 today.
Assange is in London, in the Ecuadorian Embassy, where he has been given political asylum.
He was scheduled to give a talk today but it was cancelled over security concerns. Instead, Julian Assange of Wikileaks To Appear by Video Tomorrow Due to Apparent Assassination Concerns.
After canceling a planned announcement in London, Wikileaks founder Julian Assange is now planning to appear via video link Tuesday morning at Wikileak’s 10th anniversary celebration in Berlin. He’s a last-minute addition to the roster of festivities taking place this week in Germany. The change in venue appears to be related to what Wikileaks is clearly implying to be a perceived threat on Assange’s life.
Sources close to the event tell Heat Street that Julian Assange may be planning to release some new information his organization has obtained about the U.S. Democratic Party. But Heat Street has yet to receive independent confirmation that Assange plans to dump information specifically on Hillary Clinton.
There had been widespread anticipating that Tuesday’s announcement might have been Assange’s long-promised document dump on Hillary Clinton.
Assange appeared on Fox News last month, repeating his assertion that Wikileaks has damaging documents on Clinton and suggested WikiLeaks may soon release “teasers”. More than three weeks later, that release has yet to take place.
Clinton’s more fervent opponents have hoped for weeks that the promised document dump would be an “October surprise” — damaging and revelatory emails or the like — and inflict a mortal wound on her campaign. There’s no evidence, however, that such damaging information even exists.
It was only this summer that Assange’s group leaked thousands of embarrassing emails from the Democratic National Committee which showed their disdain for Bernie Sanders’ insurgent campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination. The uproar over the disclosures forced DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz to resign in disgrace on the eve of the Democratic National Convention.
Wikileaks’ cancellation of Tuesday’s announcement in London — and the scheduling of the Tuesday video link in Berlin — has anti-Clinton conspiracy theorists working up a frantic stew of speculation.

Reflections on Global Threats
Who is the bigger threat to the world, Hillary Clinton or Julian Assange?
Here is my answer: Most Dangerous Person On the Planet Today: Hillary Clinton.

Between those two: definitely Hillary…
But Trump is still a contender:
“Three times he asked at one point if we had them why can’t we use them”
Quote from “Trump asks why US can’t use nukes: MSNBC”
http://www.cnbc.com/2016/08/03/trump-asks-why-us-cant-use-nukes-msnbcs-joe-scarborough-reports.html
“Donald Trump – Trump reportedly asks why US can’t use nukes
Donald Trump asked a foreign policy expert advising him why the U.S. can’t use nuclear weapons, MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough said on the air Wednesday, citing an unnamed source who claimed he had spoken with the GOP presidential nominee.
“Several months ago, a foreign policy expert on the international level went to advise Donald Trump. And three times [Trump] asked about the use of nuclear weapons. Three times he asked at one point if we had them why can’t we use them,” Scarborough said on his “Morning Joe” program.
Scarborough made the Trump comments 52 seconds into an interview with former Director of Central Intelligence and ex-National Security Agency Director Michael Hayden.”
I strongly suspect that he was asking about very high accuracy, low yield tactical nuclear weapons intended for use on deeply buried facilities… such as those in Iran.
See: “Nuclear bunker buster” on wikipedia although there are errors in it from what I know gleaned entirely from public domain sources which is all I use for such info.
The weapon being developed for that – the B61-12, a modification and upgrade to make the long-deployed B61-11 into a vastly more accurate bomb with a lower variable yield setting (I’ve seen 0.3kt (300 tons of TNT) mentioned on-line). It will arm the B-2A Spirit bomber, the F-15E Strike Eagle, F-16 Falcon, F-35A Joint Strike Fighter, and Tornado (British) bomber.
So, since it’s being developed, why wouldn’t he ask about the reasons it should or should not be used? I’m sure he WAS NOT taking about the typical layman’s ignorant view of nuclear war – attacks on cities with high yield weapons which has OBVIOUS reasons not to initiate, is in the NATIONAL SUICIDE stage of a nuclear war, and is exactly what deters the use of nuclear weapons via the MAD principle.
When Reagan basically did the same thing Sting wrote a song about it. Later, the Berlin Wall was torn down. Trump is a little more ham-fisted about it, but that’s more style than substance.
Rich folks (especially those with a lot of big buildings and real estate) don’t want wars. It tends to destroy all their stuff.
Hillary believes extra judicial killing is a-ok if someone thinks different

Russians building big bunkers, not a joke. Once a side believes enough can survive, and they have enough nukes themselves, then MAD fails.
When they are ready they will move on the buffer states they want back, Latin, Estate, Ukraine. Just in time for the EU army to face them off. Now that is a joke.
Should read Latvia, Estonia.
They had enough nukes 45 years ago.
russia has a tiny GDP which currently Matches Holland – it’s ludicrous to believe Russia poses any threat to the People of the United States

What Vooch said comes right out of the history books…. and it happened in the month of October.
The ancient Babylonians mocked a new King from the east…. until that fateful night in October when Cyrus conquered “unconquerable” Babylon via a surprise invasion. The next day Babylonians awoke to find their city and their empire under new management.
.
.
Ironically, Cyrus’ troops conquered Babylon on October 7 which is also Putin’s birthday.
.
Atossa,
I want to know if I’ve read you right.
Are you suggesting a Russian sneak attack could defeat USA overnight and replace its democracy with a dictator living in Russia?
.
I’m not saying it will happen… I’m saying it could happen.
With all the illegal aliens running amok in the USA and Europe, Putin could have easily sneaked in a huge fifth-column [lots of Russian nationals are Muslims.] Former NATO Commander Breedlove said that Putin had “weaponized” the “refugees.” That should be taken literally.
I am also saying that history proves empires who think they are invincible, are not. As the Bible says… “pride goes before a fall.” Ironic that the Pentagon is now busy catering to the LGBT “pride” agenda.
.
How long could one million Russian armed armed islamic terrorists hold Frankfort Kentucky?
.
You might find this interesting. This is the last chapter in a book written by a Soviet defector decades ago. It talks about a third world war, an overture of “grey terror” and a major hit on DC using two remote controlled planes hitting the White House one after the other [reminds me of NYC WTC on 9-11.]

If a single full sized hydrogen bomb had exploded in the white house last night, would the US constitutional republic fail? Would foreign armies feel justifiably confident in their ability to occupy?
She’s a damn gangster criminal.
In the attempt to undermine Fox News as well as other conservative media, the Federal Elections Commission is preparing a ban for media that are located out of American soil and are still reporting on the upcoming elections. The same goes for media who give endorsement to the wrong side of the track..meaning, Donald Trump.
A top Democrat on the evenly-split split board proposed that the group begin the process of prohibiting companies with foreign ownership as small as 5 percent from “funding expenditures, independent expenditures, or electioneering communications.”
If approved, the plan would cover Fox News, The Wall Street Journal – and as collateral damage, the New York Times, from participating in the elections process by covering or endorsing candidates, The Washington Examiner is reporting.

I don’t even have a comic strip and some of my posts keep disappearing from here and there. Try posting something as bland as “I think Hillary is a criminal” in a post and half the time you will see it has been kicked to a site moderator and disappears. Right after that are ten screeds filled with fantasy anti Trump propaganda.
“Try posting something as bland as ‘I think Hillary is a criminal’ in a post and half the time you will see it has been kicked to a site moderator and disappears.”
I suspect many large sites don’t even have a person doing the “moderating.” If enough people flag a post as offensive, it is simply deleted with no human ever actually having looked at its contents. I suspect that’s what the new Orwellian “YouTube Heroes” program on YouTube will also turn into.
“Dilbert creator Scott Adams is now a target after he endorsed Trump a week ago.”
And there was no such effort against him when he was until recently a Hillary supporter. That should tell you who are actually the “fascists” in this election.

Come on Mish really? This guy conned the republican party and America. Too bad Hillary is our choice but it is what it is. At least she has done some good while he has conned us right and left. He has done nothing for us ever. He is a lie cheat and steal from all the American people. Wake up!
Hillary has done some good? You are in fantasyland.
Talk about falling for a con!

“…Assange, after all, was a relatively soft target”
Assange is said to have, as insurance, a huge, unreviewed file of classified data that is cryptically locked with an unbreakable 256-byte key – that’s ‘bytes’ not bits. It might have nothing in it or it might contain enough info to bring down a few governments.
What information would bring down a first world government?

WHERE in Germany… I hear the big party is in Dresden.

Off top, DB.
Meanwhile someone tells the truth and get a slap. Any bail-in by the large German exporters……..could they then be compensated by the the Gov and thereby achieve a back door Gov bail out for DB. Bending rules to avoid upsetting the Italians, Greeks and Spanish.

Wow…now I can read all of ZeroHedge’s content (albeit slightly modified) here…or on Zero’s site.
Think I’ll choose the latter.

Your continued comments imply the former.
How can any liberal minded person read that then vote for her?
This is the exact purpose of the second amendment, and the only reason I’m not 100 percent for collecting all the guns and melting them into Buddha statues.
Scott Adams, the creator of the Dilbert comic strip, was formerly a Clinton supporter who recently switched over to a very reluctant Trump supporter. His previous support for Clinton did not attract concerted attacks from Trump supporters. His switch to reluctant Trump supporter most certainly did from Clinton supporters. There are links in his original article that will not show up below:
SCOTT ADAMS’ BLOG
Posted October 3rd, 2016
This weekend I got “shadowbanned” on Twitter. It lasted until my followers noticed and protested. Shadowbanning prevents my followers from seeing my tweets and replies, but in a way that is not obvious until you do some digging.
Why did I get shadowbanned?
Beats me.
But it was probably because I asked people to tweet me examples of Clinton supporters being violent against peaceful Trump supporters in public. I got a lot of them. It was chilling.
Late last week my Twitter feed was invaded by an army of Clinton trolls (it’s a real thing) leaving sarcastic insults and not much else on my feed. There was an obvious similarity to them, meaning it was organized.
At around the same time, a bottom-feeder at Slate wrote a hit piece on me that had nothing to do with anything. Except obviously it was politically motivated. It was so lame that I retweeted it myself. The timing of the hit piece might be a coincidence, but I stopped believing in coincidences this year.
All things considered, I had a great week. I didn’t realize I was having enough impact to get on the Clinton enemies list. I don’t think I’m supposed to be happy about any of this, but that’s not how I’m wired.
Mmm, critics. Delicious 🙂

P.S. The one and only speaking gig I had on my calendar for the coming year cancelled yesterday because they decided to “go in a different direction.” I estimate my opportunity cost from speaking events alone to be around $1 million. That’s based on how the rate of offers went from several per month (for decades) to zero this year. Blogging about Trump is expensive.
But it is also a system, not a goal. I wrote a book about that.
Update: Then they started leaving fake book reviews on Amazon to go after my book sales.
Relentless attacks by the press on Trump are slowly but surely getting the job done and cranking up his negatives. He is starting to fall further and further behind in the polls. His only hope would appear to be an exceptionally low voter turnout.
Rasmussen, who is pretty good says it is back to a one point race today.
Rasmussen had Trump 5 points ahead in mid September. Every poll that I look at shows a shift in favor of Clinton of about 4 points in the last couple weeks.
I find it interesting that tracking’ polls have not shown such a shift reflected by all other traditional polls.
The LA Times/USC tracking poll on Sept 26 shows Trump 46.3% Clinton 42.4%, and on Oct 4 shows Trump 46.6% Clinton 42.7%. The gap between the two candidates remains the same.
The latest UPI/CVoter daily presidential tracking poll has Trump gaining more than 3 percentage points and Clinton losing more than 1 point over the course of seven days from Sept. 23 to 29.
Beats me. I have a feeling that the regular polls may be as good as those Brexit polls. We shall see on Nov 8.
From all appearances, at least to me, Assange is MILKING this to raise funds for Wikileaks before PERHAPS releasing something that the Teflon Clintons can’t obfuscate and slither away from in the compliant, sycophant media.
One of two things have happened. His life has been severely threatened if he releases anything else on Clinton or he has been offered amnesty once Clinton is in the White House.
