A Project Veritas Action video on the Clinton campaign has gone viral. It documents violence at Trump rallies, traced back to the Clinton campaign.
In the video, Scott Foval, the National Field Director of Americans United for Change, bragged about paying homeless and mentally ill individuals to cause disruptions at Trump events via a process called birddogging.
People have asked me to comment.
Be forewarned the language is sharp. An image clip that shows what I mean.
Veritas Action Video
That’s pretty damning.
Is There Another Side?
Media Matters says James O’Keefe’s October Surprise Shows He’s Still A Hack, Not A Journalist.
Snopes comments on numerous O’Keefe videos (including the one above) in Project Veritas’ Election 2016 ‘Rigging’ Videos.
The videos are, as is typical of O’Keefe’s, work somewhat of a gish gallop, comprising a constellation of allegations and assertions that is virtually impossible to fact check without complete clips of the involved conversations. Nearly all the videos used stitched-together, out-of-context remarks with no indication of what occurred or what was discussed just before and after the included portions.
The framing and style of videos created by James O’Keefe is well known due to his 2009 “sting” in which he and accomplice Hannah Giles visited ACORN offices and pretended to be seeking advice on how to run an illegal business that included the use of underage girls in the sex trade. The resulting videos — which were edited to create the impression that O’Keefe and Giles had spoken to ACORN representatives while dressed as a pimp and prostitute — dealt that organization a mortal blow before reports publicizing the deception in O’Keefe’s videos came to light:
O’Keefe’s incriminating ACORN video was shown to have been heavily edited — neither he nor Hannah Giles were actually in pimp and prostitute get-up when they spoke to ACORN employees, for example — and no criminal prosecutions of ACORN followed. While not letting ACORN off the hook for showing “terrible judgment” in the video, California’s then-attorney general Jerry Brown noted after an investigation into the tapes and the organization that “sometimes a fuller truth is found on the cutting room floor.”
Those same words now seem applicable to the latest O’Keefe sting, which further tarnished NPR’s reputation and took down its CEO. As we noted, Glenn Beck’s conservative website, The Blaze, was first to report on discrepancies between the first edited eleven-and-a-half minute video released on the Project Veritas website and a later, unedited two-hour version … NPR media reporter David Folkenflik addressed the dubious editing on Morning Edition and in a written report for NPR’s website. Folkenflik reviewed the two tapes himself, along with some NPR colleagues and outsiders like The Blaze’s editor-in-chief Scott Baker and Poynter’s Al Tompkins. They home in on many of the same problems The Blaze pointed out. And they basically come to the same conclusion: the tape is still a problem, but the impression it leaves is different.
The Defense
Part of the Clinton defense is a smear attack on O’Keefe personally. I do not buy that.
What I do buy is the obvious fact these tapes are a problem, and some of the people quoted, notably Scott Foval, are sleazebags of the highest order.
There is no defense for some of those statements.
Foval Fired
Scott Foval was fired by Americans United For Change.
Breitbart notes James O’Keefe Gets Another Scalp.
Scott Foval, one of the subjects of a recent James O’Keefe exposé broken exclusively by Breitbart on Monday, has been removed from his job with the liberal advocacy group Americans United for Change.
Foval also explains how the operation is set up to allow the DNC and the Clinton campaign “plausible deniability” in the event that the true nature of the deliberate violence is discovered: “The thing that we have to watch is making sure there’s a double-blind between the actual campaign and the actual DNC and what we’re doing. There’s a double-blind there, so that they can plausibly deny that they heard anything about it.”
Fovel has already removed traces of his associations with Americans United for Change from his LinkedIn account.
Veritas Part II
In a second video, also rife with strong language, O’Keefe discusses voter fraud.
Will It Matter?
In a normal election campaign, these videos might have mattered greatly. The problem for Trump is that he simply too far behind.
Please don’t tell me these polls are wrong or part of some big media conspiracy. The pollsters, at least most of them, have a reputation to maintain. They are not going to be purposely wrong.
Might some people not be willing to admit they are for Trump? Sure, that’s a given. Enough to matter? No.
The sad thing is these videos are potentially as damning as sexual statements made by Trump. Had Trump performed well in the first debate, he might be running away with this now.
We can watch the polls to see if the “October Surprise” has an impact. I hope there is a huge impact, but I rather doubt there is.
I don’t tell people what they want to hear, I tell people what I believe, even if I prefer to be wrong, as is the case now.
Mike “Mish” Shedlock
America is dead.
The America you think is dead never existed.
The one with the middle class? The one where a hard working young adult could go to college without mortgaging their entire future? The one where federal agencies weren’t 100% politicized? That America never existed?
For white people it did, at least with a bit of roundoff, until the War between the States. Make that one colorblind, and you’re pretty much good to go.
Mish, the problem is not with the polls. It is the turnout estimates. As with Brexit, the deplorables and left-behinds will turn out in much greater numbers than the pollsters anticipate.
I am still hanging in there for Trump. Not because i think he is the best person for the job but because the only other realistic result would be much worse for the world as a whole. I hope American voters will see through the BS and the best result will emerge. At least it is much harder now for direct voter fraud even if the MSM continues to be totally one sided.
Hillary could hang around too, with some additional terms of service:
http://newyorkcityguns.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Hillary_Gallows.jpg
I fear one day billions will wish that wasn’t a Photshop job.
It’s quite interesting that the other person in the voter fraud video, Robert Creamer, has visited the White House hundreds of times, including 35 visits with Obama. hmmm
https://open.whitehouse.gov/dataset/White-House-Visitor-Records-Requests/p86s-ychb
Yes very interesting. Any connection to the Obama/Hillary/Chicago corrupt politics possible?
Creamer is a convicted embezzler who wrote political how-to stuff in prison resulting in a book. I consider him a Communist. His wife is the extreme radical leftist Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky. She represents the wealthy northern Chicago suburbs. Funny how a guy like that spends so much time anywhere near the White House. Funny how rich liberals always seem to elect the most dangerous people available.
V. Lenin had a term for those rich liberals: “useful idiots”.
For what it’s worth Foval worked for the White House according to Linkedin from 1997 to 2000 (Clinton years) if you’d like to check your sources. Tried it just now and it was pulled.
I think you are too casual about the Clinton Crime Family, the corporate folks that support her and benefit from her deeds. I’m 60 — this means our country is a Banana Republic and that is the reason so many of us are voting for Trump.
PS — I’m sick of all the liars and turning off all the mainstream media.
Yes but, it’s actually the Clinton Crime Syndicate. The Clintons are way worse for America than the mafia ever was.
Stronger Together!!!!!
Hilarious. Here’s MUCH better video quality coverage of it and disproof of the original Clinton campaign lie that it wasn’t associated with them (deny immediately, then hope fewer people see the follow up admission).
I like the “honest mistake” touch. That equates to ” didn’t know any better”. Democrats need to be paper trained. Is that the equation here?
I think she will win by hook or by crook, sadly. She’ll continue to throw this country in the gutter like bo has. I don’t understand anyone voting for her.
This should end the careers of Hillary Clinton and all democratic politicians and democratic operatives who were aware of it.
This is Putin level stuff from US democrats and Hillary Clinton has no credibility to demand fair democratic practices in any country after this.
In a country with free media this would be frontpage news for a month and would lead Hillary Clinton firing her whole campaign staff and losing so badly she wouldn’t win even 1 state.
Unfortunately USA currently does not have a free media but a corporate oligarch media just like in Russia.
American media is totally biased against Trump and killing him with either totally made-up or hugely amplified scandals.
Putin would never stoop as low as Team Hillary.
Mish, I know you will be interested in this one. This demonstrates just how dangerous Clinton really is. It really starts moving more quickly around 10-11 minutes in.
Why?
Oh yeah, we believe the polls…Brexit is going to lose…and we can see the polls were correct! So who owns the media and controls the polls? Can’t believe everything you see or hear today because lies are the way to manipulate the masses.
Will O’keefe release the full video with context? No doubt Foval said what he said, but he is clearly drunk, and gay. Maybe it’s just locker room talk.
Oh yeah, well it is probably ok then. Move on, nothing to see there.
There is nothing uniquely nasty about this one guy Foval. He is simply the kind of people rewarded with influence in an unconstrained Democracy. Those who are “more ethical” than he is, will end up with less power and influence. And, corollarily, all those who have more influence and power than he has, got there by being less ethical than him. That’s really all there is to it.
Falling for the “we’ve fired the bad guy” for the millionth time, and still refusing to recognize the problem is the system itself, rather than whomever is, for any given expose of rot, chosen to take the fall and all the blame with him, is why we are stuck where we are.
The problem is democracy. Not necessarily any and all conceivable democracies, but democracy absent hard constraints on the size, extension and intrusiveness of government.
And the solution is limited government. Whether accompanied by democracy, theocracy, kleptocracy, lotteriocracy, idiotocracy (that should make the average public “school” indoctrinated American feel all warm and fuzzy inside….) or what have you. As long as government is limited (Jefferson’s budget was $7mill. Gold. No Printing. No standing army armed any better than any other farmer out there. Faced with that kind of constraints, even Hitlery, as well as the German guy who inspired that nickname, would be a perfectly fine and dandy president.)
IOW, as long as it makes much difference who happens to be President, the problem is that the President has too much power. Ditto for Congress and the Judiciary. Not exactly who happens to temporarily hold those titles at any given time.
No media conspiracy and no external leverage from Washington to silence opposition. Just random chance and coincidence, like when coin flips come up heads 10,000 times in a row. Make up your own mind.
Daily Mirror:
WikiLeaks has accused John Kerry and the US Government of asking Ecuador to shut down Julian Assange’s internet connection. The anti-secrecy group made the accusation against the Secretary of State in a series of tweets sent on Tuesday morning…Multiple US sources tell us John Kerry asked Ecuador to stop Assange from publishing Clinton docs…any suggestion that Secretary Kerry or the State Department were involved in shutting down Wikileaks is false,’ US State Department spokesman John Kirby said…
RT:
The government of Ecuador says it disconnected the internet connection used by Julian Assange after WikiLeaks “published a wealth of documents, impacting on the US election campaign.” “The Government of Ecuador respects the principle of non-intervention in the internal affairs of other states,” the official statement reads…”Ecuador’s foreign policy responds to sovereign decisions alone and does not yield to pressure from other states,” the statement concluded.

RT [https://www.rt.com/usa/363234-ecuador-assange-internet-election-clinton-wikileaks/]
Assange is no dummy, he will find a way around that.
“…any suggestion that Secretary Kerry or the State Department were involved in shutting down Wikileaks is false,’ US State Department spokesman John Kirby said…”
NDAA 2013 allows the government to propagandize to the American people.
Hackers will probably influence this election more than we think. I don’t think they are done yet. Just get the popcorn and watch as the important stuff is left at the door by drones…..
What a world we live in now days….. Gheeze!
According to the USC/LA Times Daybreak poll, tracking 3000 eligible voters, when asked, “Who would you vote for?,” Trump is ahead 44.9 to 43.3 on Oct. 18. But when asked, “Who do you think will win?,” Hillary is ahead 57 to 37.5. Clearly most people think Hillary Clinton will win, and the polls are bearing out that perception. This is not a good position for Mrs. Clinton to be in, because turnout is critical, and if Hillary supporters believe she has the election already won, then a good proportion may not bother to turn out and vote. If Hillary’s support peaks too early, then the advantage of momentum can turn to Trump.
If they think she will win anyway, why would they dishonor themselves by voting for a certified lying crook of the highest order? Trump has ’em right where he wants ’em. VOTE FOR AMERICA: VOTE AGAINST HELLARY.
Do the peoples votes really matter? Who actually elects the POTUS in the end? The electoral college is where we need the polling. Just sayin…..
I think the wild card in this race is the black vote. Yes, peoples votes really matter. No demographic group is less likely to vote for Donald Trump than blacks, but what if blacks stay home and don’t vote in large numbers? It changes the math. While blacks turned out and voted 95 percent for President Obama, Hillary Clinton can not rely on that outcome. Why? Because no demographic group has been as adversely impacted by the post-2008 economy as blacks, and Hillary advocates more of the same economic policies that have hurt blacks the most. If black turnout is reduced because of this, it could give Trump Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia, restoring the Solid South for the GOP, and if Trump then takes Colorado, Wisconsin, Indiana and Michigan, he has won the election.
I think Trump might do better with black men than previous Republican candidates. I won’t be surprised if exit polls show him getting 15% to 20% of the vote.
Great point Paul. Add Millennials to that list as well, I highly doubt they will show up in mass as they did for Obama.
We shall see. The interesting news this morning was that the Hillary campaign has given up on winning Ohio. This taken together with the fact it has started running television ads in Arizona and Nevada leads me to conclude that Hillary’s own people believe the race is neck and neck.
far more important is this week’s lurid National Enquirer cover which is going to hurt Hillary in a critical demographic – white suburban women.
I don’t have a subscription to National Enquirer, how about a link?
National Enquirer article:
http://www.nationalenquirer.com/celebrity/hillary-clinton-lesbian-sex-claims-vince-foster-fixer/
After a lifetime of living life left handed, why did Vince Foster in his final moments , decide to commit suicide with a handgun in his right hand?
Requiring minds want to know.
do deplorables read the Enquirer?
The national inquirer is obviously in cahoots with Putin, Trump and Assange to turn the USA into a Russian satellite nation because Trump borrowed money from Russia.
Does it matter? Not unless the media focuses on it for a week and a half like they did Trump’s locker room talk that 90% of men engage in at one time or another in their lives.
All the big scandal stories on Hillary barely produce smoke in the media. But with Trump stories that should carry half or less the weight of Hillary scandal stories are turned into wild fires by the media.
Anybody who pays any attention to what’s going on and is honest would agree. An inordinate and disproportional amount of time and attention and angst are spent on bad things associated with Trump as compared to the awful things we learn about Hillary.
The media plays a HUGE part in the electoral system. They influence a majority of the voters with their spin. A 3rd grader could figure that out.
Trump is 100% correct. The electoral system is rigged.
BIG MONEY and POWER backs Hillary. You could catch her on tape committing lewd acts and she would still end up in the White House.
I feel we’ve lost a HUGE chunk of our nation and our values.
I have be watching how universities are indoctrinating students. All this SJW bs is generated ther. They teach shit econonics, Keynes is pushed like its the gospel. My son quit the Masters in finance program at UofM, after 5 classes because they were teaching the program in the light that government must take tcontrol of commerse too control everything from fraud to global warming. Everything is propaganda when it comes to college now. Memorize and regurgitate
Mish, in national elections, the job of the establishment media is not to change your beliefs. It is to make you think that your beliefs are in the minority and cannot “win”. Faced with a 24/7 media blizzard dedicated to Trump demonization, people are reluctant to share pro-Trump views with pollsters (or others). That is why (assuming votes are actually tallied honestly), the establishment is about to experience a rude surprise. It has fallen into the trap of believing its own lies. For more on this, you might want to consider the Abilene Paradox. See http://gatetoliberty.blogspot.com/2016/06/why-your-side-never-wins-in-published.html
Confirmation bias.
I’m not convinced that Trump is that far behind.
It is one thing to unskew polls or just claim the polls are rigged like many of us, myself included, did in 2012 but it is something else if there really is evidence that the polls are off.
I submit the following evidence:
1. Trump has an absolutely massive enthusiasm advantage over Hillary
2. Polls were off in Brexit, particularly the polls released on the day of the vote
3. There are several examples since the 2nd debate of obvious pro Hillary push polls
4. The LAT poll, itself the continuation of the 2012 Rand poll which was the 2012 election’s most accurate, has Trump winning. Rasmussen has Trump behind by 1.
5. Even if you don’t buy the LAT’s top line results, it is the same 3000 respondents every time so it is a good way to track trends, and it only shows Trump down 1.4 points since the first debate and trending up, and Hillary up by only 0.9 points and trending down. Given that the race was generally regarded as even on the night of the first debate, Trump should be down by no more than ~3 points right now, with the trend lines moving in his favor.
I am totally open to the possibility that I am wrong and that Trump really is getting slaughtered, but as of now I do not believe it. If I’m proven wrong on election day I will admit it.
Let’s see what the revelation of the Team Clinton’s dirty tricks do to the polls.
Unfortunately I do not expect to see that on the MSM. Maybe, Fox.
The Team Clinton description of their followers as “unaware and compliant” is probably pretty accurate. I sent the following to a liberal “friend”. He replied ignoring the message and attacked the messenger. I used to think he was intelligent.
“A Clinton campaign email released as part of the Wikileaks data dump talks about the need to maintain political power by producing “an unaware and compliant citizenry”.
The email was sent to Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta by former Clinton administration official Bill Ivey on March 13, 2016.
Ivey was appointed Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts during Bill Clinton’s second term. According to his bio, Ivey “is a trustee of the Center for American Progress (a Clinton campaign front), and was a Team Leader in the Barack Obama presidential transition.”
In the email, Ivey outlines the panic amongst some Democrats that Donald Trump’s “celebrity politics” persona cannot be matched by Hillary, who is “not an entertainer, and not a celebrity in the Trump, Kardashian mold.”
“Money isn’t all that important if you can conflate entertainment with the electoral process. Trump masters TV, TV so-called news picks up and repeats and repeats to death this opinionated blowhard and his hairbrained ideas, free-floating discontent attaches to a seeming strongman and we’re off and running,” complains Ivey.
Ivey wonders how Clinton can combat Trump’s larger than life appeal, worrying that simply ‘defaulting to policy’ won’t work.
“And as I’ve mentioned, we’ve all been quite content to demean government, drop civics and in general conspire to produce an unaware and compliant citizenry,” he writes.
“The unawareness remains strong but compliance is obviously fading rapidly. This problem demands some serious, serious thinking – and not just poll driven, demographically-inspired messaging.”
To emphasize, Ivey admits that the left has ‘conspired’ to “produce an unaware and compliant citizenry” but that they’re not as easy to manipulate anymore and that this is a problem.
He characterizes “unawareness” amongst the public as a positive thing for the Clinton campaign.
Ivey ends the email by saying he will attend a Clinton fundraiser and that he fears, “we are all now trying to navigate a set of forces that cannot be simply explained or fully understood.”
The email is a shocking insight into the elitist and arrogant mindset that pervades the Clinton campaign, with Americans viewed as dumb sheep who need to be herded in the right direction.
The latest Economist/YouGov poll shows Clinton+4, the same margin as just before the 1st debate. So Trump has basically survived the most brutal 3-4 weeks in his campaign. The next 3 weeks will be the most interesting to watch.
mish, maybe u did not research enough. But most msm polls, select more dems than republicans so of course those polls shows Hillary leading the most accurate poll in 2012 was use poll, it consistently show trump leading. Re: 1st debate, lots of 1st time voters n women turned off by Hillary using some Hispanics woman to have personal jabs on trump. I still firmly believe he will win rather easily. You guys higher degree are too detached from real world. I hope to get your response.
Another thing that people analyzing msm polls has shown is that they massively over-represent those with advanced college degrees. Trump does better with those who have a bachelor’s degree or only a high school diploma or not even that. Hillary does better with those with advanced degrees. But those with advanced degrees only make up something like 10% or less of the populace (I forget the actual number). But some of these msm polls have included nearly 30% respondents with advanced degrees. That’s ridiculously unrepresentative of the general voting public.
As I posted on ZH:
Would it be possible for Russia to hire Assange as a diplomat to work at its London embassy? If so, he would have diplomatic immunity, and could catch a flight to Russia and maybe join Snowden.
Which would be followed by a massive buildup of NATO forces along the Russian border and the deployment of more missiles (defensive, of course) in Poland and Romania pointed directly at Moscow.
Everything is Putin’s fault lately. If they could blame him for Hurricane Matthews and get away with it they would.
But if any leader would have to balls to hire Assange as a diplomat to get him safely out of England and the grasp of the Swedes, it would be Putin.
Obama is scared of Putin. That’s why after Obama drew the line in the sand in Syria he balked once Putin crossed it. ha. Putin called his bluff and Obama caved.
Obama is scared of Putin. That’s why after Obama drew the line in the sand in Syria he balked once Putin crossed it. ha. Putin called his bluff and Obama caved.
If I recall it correctly, Putin became negotiator for Assad which put Obama in a very fortunate situation where he didn’t have to follow through with his threats. Oh but that dialog were continued but with Clinton pulling the strings and the Kerry mouth, Obama didn’t have a chance. In another stroke of genius, Putin placed Russia squarely alongside Assad checkmating the warmongers in the US. Teach the warmongers for putting their noses into Ukraine.
Putin is a brilliant strategist. He uses whatever resources he has to his best advantage. He lays the trap and let’s his adversaries walk right into it without firing a shot. He has a stare that could melt metal. The Russians are very lucky to have such a leader. I envy them.
Russia doesn’t have the strength of the US and NATO, so he must comprimise the best way possible. We dont need all those missles in Europe, why threaten. We lost a chance for a strong friendship with then when the Soviet Union collapsed because of HW Bush the globalist.
If it were that simple, you’d simply see the Ecuadorian .gov declare Assange to be a citizen and diplomat and fly him out of the country. They obviously already have a stake in this.
The Democrats are a criminal enterprise.
It’s not a matter of the polls being made to be fake, it’s a matter of how the polls are conducted based off of the last election. Trump is going to be pulling in many voters who are not part of the “likely voter” that they use in the polls.
The polls are all over the place. There is polls that say Trump is in the lead right now. Some polls say he’s down by 11 points, some 4 some other numbers. Polls are all over the map.
As far as the vid goes, I doubt it matters. Everyone has already made up their mind on how they are going to vote, we should hold the election and see where the chips fall. Everything from now to election day is just noise that I really doubt has any effect on the end result of the election.
The PPD pollster, Richard Baris, thinks a number of polls are push polls and the scales are being tipped during the weighting.
Rasmussen, LA Times (most accurate 2012) and PPD (most accurate 2014) show the race essentially tied. The Clinton campaign has given up on OH and IA (likely Maine CD2 too), that indicates a close race. There is a clear coordinated meme to say the race is over, it isn’t.
most of Americans do not understand what is neo-Marxism ( neoleftism) . This ideology you can see and feel everywhere : in poltics , education , media (…). “Come on, gentleman; let us drink to our stupidity.”
― Santosh Kalwar, Quote Me Everyday
everybody is burned out by political smut
Trump wants to end free trade, minimize immigration, end American imperial hegemony, strengthen social security and Medicare, and provide massive Keynesian stimulus by cutting taxes and investing in infrastructure.
He may be the most leftist candidate with a realistic chance of winning the Presidency since Johnson.i don’t believe the conservative electorate and media will allow that to happen.
You are distorting Trump’s position.
“and provide massive Keynesian stimulus by cutting taxes and investing in infrastructure.”
Yes, he wants to cut taxes for lower / middle class and :
“Ensure the rich will pay their fair share, but no one will pay so much that it destroys jobs or undermines our ability to compete.”
and lower corporate tax rate but eliminate loopholes. MANY corporations have effective single digit tax rate due to loopholes … which THEIR corporate lobbyists inserted into Congressional bills.
But, I read his positions and not a word on infrastructure. Wants to reduce regulatory burdens to increase activity. And for ending “American Imperial hegemony” … per CBO current FY overseas military expenditure is $60 billion. Awesome to end that sink hole. DT further wants to repeal Obamacare and replace with HSAs.
Not seeing your “massive Keynesian stimulus” … at all.
https://www.donaldjtrump.com/policies/tax-plan/
He stated in one of his campaign speeches that America’s infrastructure was crumbling and he would use our low interest rates to make America’s infrastructure the greatest in the world (paraphrasing from memory).
And I’m not opposed to those leftist policies. If it weren’t for his stand on AGW he’d have my vote.
Starting a nuclear war because you have a pointlessly confrontational policy toward Russia like Hillary does would probably also be bad for the environment.
Of course.
Is reputation more important to pollsters and MSM news than to ratings agencies, who sold out to the establishment? Money trumps reputation and ethics in a world where the judicial system suspends the equal enforcement of the rule of law. If you want a world war and a guaranteed economic crash and burn, vote for Hillary.
The news isn’t anything new. I read a lot of stuff about the dems inciting racial discord in numerous ways. So much for Stronger Together. Hillary is going to win. The root of the problem is people who back Hillary tend to be people who don’t actually produce much. Government employees. Academics. People who rely on gov’t transfer payments. They outnumber those who produce things. They want cheap stuff from China because they’re jobs, if they have a job, won’t be outsourced.
Not much matters. Who cares that we have 1.4 trillion in debt increase and CBO forecasts that to triple in 10 years using 3% growth when growth is less than 2%.
This election will continue the bad times started with Bush. We are going to tear ourselves apart and war will not unite us. Bring back the draft and watch these Clinton fans turn on her but by then it will be too late.

So, even Snopes is politically biased. Big surprise…
The main scandal in that video as far as I’m concerned is the expose of the back door method of communication between the DNC/Clinton Campaign and PACs. Direct communication is illegal, so they just work around it.

A summary of some of the key on-camera comments from the NYC Democratic Election Commissioner:
“He gave out ID cards, de Blasio. That’s in lieu of a driver’s license, but you can use it for anything. But they didn’t vet people to see who they really are. Anybody can go in there and say, ‘I am Joe Smith, I want an ID card.”
“It’s absurd. There is a lot of fraud. Not just voter fraud, all kinds of fraud… This is why I get more conservative as I get older.”
“Voters? Yeah, they should ask for your ID. I think there is a lot of voter fraud. You know, I don’t think it’s too much to ask somebody to show some kind of an ID… You go into a building, you have to show them your ID.”
“They bus people around to vote… They put them in a bus and go poll site to poll site.” Asked which neighborhoods, Schulkin said, “I don’t want to say.” When the undercover mentions black and Hispanic neighborhoods, Schulkin responded, “Yeah… and Chinese, too.”

NBC/Wall Street Journal poll right after the 2nd debate was ordered from a “pollster” who is employed by a Hillary Clinton SuperPAC to the tune of over 200,000.00 US dollars a month.
This poll was packed with over-representation of democrats in the sample and very few independents and showed Clinton up 11%.
This poll from a “pollster” getting paid 200k a month by Hillary Clinton SuperPAC was intended to be the killshot getting republicans to stab Trump in the back in mass numbers by saying they would not vote for him and telling republican voters to not vote for him, only Paul “funding every wish Obama ever had” Ryan and previous anti-trump republicans like John “posing with ISIS” McCain took the bait
Wall Street Journal and NBC are both anti-Trump because their owners Murdoch’s at WSJ and Roberts at Comcast/NBC want to keep Trump out of the whitehouse.

On the other hand if Hillary gets into power and gives mass-amnesty and keeps open borders the viewership of Univision will increase with more illegals who will not be illegals anymore because of the blanket-amnesty and the current issue of people not learning english is actually good for Univision because more spanish only viewers means the owner of Univision will become the kingmaker in future presidential elections.
Those youths who learn english at School will be kept on univision by mixing some english into the programming and a little bit of spanglish.
ABC/NBC/CBS/NYT/WSJ/FOX etc. do not realize they are making themselves lose power also because if Clinton wins the Univision owning Haim Saban will control the future of american politics due to mass-amnesty and open borders with his spanish language media empire.
If I was in Haim Saban’s shoes I would also be pulling all the stops out to elect Hillary including brainwashing Univision viewers that Trump is horrible and donating millions to Hillary’s campaign.
Polls are getting tighter.
Reuters/Ipsos out this morning had Clinton +4
The last Reuters/Ipsos poll out – wednesday oct 12th – had Clinton +7
I still think a longshot (30%?) chance for DT, but not impossible. ABSOLUTELY has to bring his A game tonight. Be forceful but play to middle (no “gonna lock her up” … but definitely bring up the email issue … especially the collusion between State Dept and FBI) … and imperative to be prepared to talk issues with some depth.
Shhhhhhh!!!!
“In recent weeks, WikiLeaks has published a wealth of documents, impacting on the U.S. election campaign. This decision was taken exclusively by that organization.”
“The Government of Ecuador respects the principle of non-intervention in the internal affairs of other states. It does not interfere in external electoral processes, nor does it favor any particular candidate.”
“Accordingly, Ecuador has exercised its sovereign right to temporarily restrict access to some of its private communications network within its Embassy in the United Kingdom. This temporary restriction does not prevent the WikiLeaks organization from carrying out it journalistic activities.”
“Ecuador, in accordance with its tradition of defending human rights and protecting victims for political persecution, reaffirms the asylum granted to Julian Assange and reiterates its intention to safeguard his life and physical integrity until he reaches a safe place.”
“Ecuador’s foreign policy responds to sovereign decisions alone and does not yield to pressure from other states.”

It’s just a return to the politics of the past. Post Watergate, we got nice-guy candidates for President like Ford and Carter, but we’ve slowly slipped back into the types that preceded them, like LBJ and Nixon.
“Media Matters says James O’Keefe’s October Surprise Shows He’s Still A Hack, Not A Journalist.”
Main stream media political collusion shows the major network news programs are propaganda operations.
Mish after all the efforts you put to write these posts you got to wonder about your readers. To say that all pollsters are crooks, that Rasmussen is the “best predictor” of 2008 and 2012… We are back to the media bubble — we only hear what we want to hear, and assume the rest are lies and cheats that the opposition uses to win an unfair advantage.
Reading the comment section must be depressing.
Finally, to find that Robert Creamer is as much a Dbag as James O’Keefe cannot be a surprise to anyone and to think the Republican have a lock on the stupids is ridiculous.
Because it’s never about the corruption exposed, it’s all about who exposed the corruption:
Czech Russian (civilian) hacker arrested – 19 Oct 2016
http://www.fudzilla.com/news/41885-fbi-czech-russian-hacker
Czech police and the FBI have fingered the collar of a Russian citizen and the press is wondering if they have caught the US Democratic party hacker.
The alleged hacker was busted 12 hours after the Czech’s received the “first operational information”, thanks to the “rapid flow of information” with the US authorities.
The suspect, who was with his girlfriend at the time of the arrest, was found in a Prague hotel. He was “so surprised” by the police crackdown that he fainted and had to be immediately provided with first aid by the Czech police on the scene.
The Russian citizen is suspected of hacking attacks on targets in the United States and the word on the street is that it is connected to the Democratic party hack, but there has been no official announcement of the fact yet.
Officials are yet to release any information on the suspect, including his name, age and the charges filed against him. It is also unknown as to which individuals and or organisations in the US the Russian is believed to have hacked.
According to the Czech police’s statement, the municipal court in Prague will to take a decision on possible extradition of the alleged hacker to the US.
It is reported that the hacker’s mistake leading to his capture was running his operation from an unsecured server in his basement. It is expected that FBI’s Comey will not recommend prosecution because the desire to expose corruption does not constitute “evil intent.”
I can hear Hellary cackling about that from 3000 miles away, like the Wicked Witch that she is. Once they have the hacker in the US there will be an “accident”, or maybe he will commit suicide, like left handed Vince Foster did with the gun in his right hand.
‘Russian Hacker’ Arrested In Prague Last Week, Announcement “Tactically Delayed” Until Day Of US Debate
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-10-19/russian-hacker-arrested-prague-last-week-announcement-tactically-delayed-until-day-u
And I was thinking that the hacker must be a geek with no social life and no girlfriend. I must be getting old.
Now, that I think of it, this is a very sexist from FBI; the hacker could have been his girlfriend hacking away on his computer while he was taking shower, but she is probably Czech, and would not fit the desired profile.
It is natural that the unedited raw footage will “leave a different impression” as per Jerry Brown. For, that footage shows an investigator undertaking two full hours of pure deception in order to gain the confidence of his mark and obtain damning admissions. Its probably very boring for you and me to watch, and highly irritating to any democrats to watch “one of their own” being lured into testifying against themselves. The aim of the two hours’ footage, however, is to catch the desired testimony.
And no, it won’t make any difference to the voter, who is concerned all about Beyonce’s opinion on Trump’s grope-a-thon — not some nameless cog of the democrat party machine.
The only thing it MIGHT do is convince the lazy, do-nothing Republican Town Committees to start mobilizing their people to do some adequate poll-watching for once.
And just try to get enough of them into Chicago in order to do that!
Bully Bush was known to violate ground rules laid out for celebrity interviews. For example, if Arnold Schwarzeneggar asks to stay away from topics such as steroids or the Kennedys and just stick with questions about his life in Hollywood, that should be respected or simply turn down the interview.
Bush had a habit of ambushing celebs and it just is not acceptable in entertainment media. The thing with Donald should surprise exactly no one, from Billy’s reputation, not Donald’s.
Of course the investigator was deceptive in tricking the mark to give damning admissions. How else could that be done? Would you prefer he walk in DNC or Team Hellary headquarters and say “Hi we’re from the Trump team and we would like you give us some damning admissions, on camera”. Duh, what is your point?
Well, it’s up to American voters (and widespread voter fraud) to choose who will be in charge during the next catastrophic economic crash or slow deep decline. Hopefully, a sufficiently large number of them now realize more than they did in the past how incredibly corrupt to the core the entire political and economic system has become and how very easily they have been manipulated, but I’m not confident.
“I think people in power have a vested interest to oppose critical thinking. You see, if we don’t improve our understanding of critical thinking and develop it as kind of second nature, we are just suckers ready to be taken by the next charlatan who ambles along… there are lots of ways to gain power and money by deceiving people who are not skilled in critical thinking.” – Astrophysicist/Cosmologist Carl Sagan, radio interview, May 1996
“[Jefferson] believed that the habit of skepticism is an essential prerequisite for responsible citizenship. He argued that the cost of education is trivial compared to the cost of ignorance, of leaving the government to the wolves. He taught that the country is safe only when the people rule. Part of the duty of citizenship is not to be intimidated into conformity. I wish that the oath of citizenship taken by recent immigrants, and the pledge that students routinely recite, included something like ‘I promise to question everything my leaders tell me’. That would be really to Thomas Jefferson’s point. ‘I promise to use my critical faculties. I promise to develop my independence of thought. I promise to educate myself so I can make my own judgements.'” – Astrophysicist/Cosmologist Carl Sagan in his book “The Demon Haunted World”
“Despite the favorable opinions of undergraduates and alumni, a closer look at the record…shows that colleges and universities, for all the benefits they bring, accomplish far less for their students than they should… Many cannot reason clearly or perform competently in analyzing complex, non-technical problems, even though faculties rank critical thinking as the primary goal of a college education…Most have never taken a course in quantitative reasoning or acquired the knowledge needed to be a reasonably informed citizen in a democracy.” – Derek Bok, former 20 year president of Harvard University in his book “Our Underachieving Colleges”
“Power can sometimes be won or maintained without violence, but never without fraud, because it is necessary to make use of the masses, and the masses would not co-operate if they knew that they were simply serving the purposes of a minority.” – from “Second Thoughts on James Burnham” by George Orwell (1946)
“Now [the United States is] just an oligarchy, with unlimited political bribery being the essence of getting the nominations for president or to elect the president. And the same thing applies to governors and U.S. senators and congress members. So now we’ve just seen a complete subversion of our political system as a payoff to major contributors, who want and expect and sometimes get favors for themselves after the election’s over.” – Jimmy Carter, former president, in 2015
“Allowing people and corporate interest groups and others to spend an unlimited amount of unidentified money has enabled certain individuals to swing any and all elections, whether they are congressional, federal, local, state … Unfortunately and rarely are these people having goals which are in line with those of the general public. History well shows that there is a very selfish game that’s going on and that our government has largely been put up for sale.” – John Dingell, 29-term Democratic congressman from Michigan, in 2014 just before he retired
“When some think tank comes up with the legislation and tells you not to fool with it, why are you even a legislator anymore? You just sit there and take votes and you’re kind of a feudal serf for folks with a lot of money.” – Dale Schultz, 32-year Republican state legislator in Wisconsin and former state Senate Majority Leader, in 2013 before retiring
“…if a nation expects to be ignorant & free, in a state of civilisation, it expects what never was and never will be.” – extract from a Jan 6, 1816 letter from Thomas Jefferson to Charles Yancey
“History is only the patter of silken slippers descending the stairs to the thunder of hobnailed boots climbing upward from below.” – attributed to Voltaire
Mark Baum: “It’s time to call bulls**t.”
Vinnie Daniel: “Bulls**t on what?”
Mark Baum: “Every… f***ing… thing…”
– film “The Big Short” (2015)
“The sad thing is these videos are potentially as damning as sexual statements made by Trump.”
Seriously?
What the Democratic party has done, as evidenced by these emails is, comparable to Trumps statements about sex?
My God, we are so screwed if this is the typical rationalization. A complete corruption and criminalization of our democratic process is a damning as Trump’s indelicate sexist remarks?
We deserve what we get.
By all means, do protect your delicate principles and sensibilities at all cost, while the country burns down around you. Maybe you have simply lived in Chicago too damned long, if you believe this is true. Corruption and criminality are not on par with sexism.
If Trump is serious about what he is saying, then he should create a new party, he should call it the American party. That, in the long run, would be the best outcome, whether he wins or loses.
Off Topic: In early voting yesterday, I went ahead and voted Trump. Now I hang my head in shame. Not shame for saying that I would not vote for Trump or Clinton, but shame at what has become of our once great nation.
I didn’t vote my preference because of some of the comments here. I realized that holding to my ideals was not going to do anybody any good. Being pragmatic is the only possible way to keep a Clinton out of the white house.
Trump may be a clown, but better a clown than a devil.

Thanks.
Voting Trump is the only solution that can stop Hillary’s war-mongering and open borders and amnesty for everybody within first 100 days insanity and extreme-leftist supreme court that would follow Hillary Clinton win.
Trump can be gotten rid of in 4 years if voters so choose but Hillary amnesty and open borders and leftist supreme court will destroy americans chance to control their own destiny.
Legalizing 30 million illegals and attracting 30-60 million more like would happen under Hillary would mean no more swing states and most states would vote democratic forever with the votes of the legalized.
Mish — regardless of their supposed accuracy, what the hell polls are you looking at when you make the rubbish claim that Trump is “too far behind”??
Every non-biased polling organization puts both candidates at around or about 42%, with one or the other a point or two ahead — which is to say well inside measuring errors. Several are reporting Trump “ahead” by 1-2% (which is just as statistically meaningless as the ones claiming Hiliary is “ahead” by similar margins).
I have yet to hear of a single poll of a random sample where either candidate has a clear victory — not one. The NYTimes polls (with WaPo sometimes) are based on 2500 democrats and 300 republicans, 200 “independents” — which just proves those media outlets don’t understand random polling.
How can we trust anything you write when you make absurd claims that an election that is a statistical tie is somehow all over? Are you trying to discredit yourself?
A quick sample of polls showing Mish has acccuracy issues:
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/elections/election_2016/white_house_watch_oct19
http://www.investors.com/politics/trump-leads-clinton-by-one-point-going-into-debate-in-ibdtipp-tracking-poll/
I don’t put much faith in the IBD poll (any more / less than others that claim one candidate is winning). To me, both polls show a tie.
And most voters I know are so fed up and angry at the ASSHOLES in the media — we are voting to disconnect cable TV
Maybe Mish got suckered by the NBC/WSJ poll by a “pollster” employed by Hillary Clinton SuperPAC to the tune of 200k a month that oversampled democrats and under-sampled independents.
Unsurpprisingly that poll showed Hillary leading 11% which was completely preposterous but still some hand-wringing republicans afraid of their own shadow like Paul “open check to Obama” Ryan and John “selfies with ISIS” Mccain started attacking Trump and Ryan actually wanted all republicans to drop their support for Trump on a conference call but was shouted down by the majority.
This was the media killshot intended to kill Trump completely after NBC leaked first the Access Hollywood tape of Trumps sexual bragging so that republicans would start dissing Trump immediately after 2nd debate thereby creating a self-fulfilling destruction of Trumps changes based on a manipulated poll.
The poll in question and the sordid Democratic strategy of fake polling explained:
https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2016/10/11/media-polling-fully-exposed-about-that-nbcwsj-clinton-11-point-poll/
Trump leads 1% in IBD poll:
http://www.investors.com/politics/trump-leads-clinton-by-one-point-going-into-debate-in-ibdtipp-tracking-poll/
the most accurate poll in 2004 and 2008 and predicted Obama win in 2012:
http://www.investors.com/politics/ibd-tipp-tracking-poll-most-accurate-presidential-poll/
it makes me wonder why Mish is writing that Trump is too far behind to catch up. Maybe he has been drinking Chicago water for too long.
I think the US election going to be another “brexit” type vote, where the corrupt political class pulls every stunt and crime they can think of, and they still lose by a small margin.
When it comes to NBC everybody should remember NBC is the one who paid Chelsea Clinton for not doing much over 600,000 dollars.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/erik-wemple/wp/2014/06/13/what-did-nbc-newss-chelsea-clinton-do-for-her-600000-salary/
“The problem for Trump is that he simply too far behind. ”
Factually wrong. Trum is even leading in some polls.
“Please don’t tell me these polls are wrong or part of some big media conspiracy.”
So you’re dismissing from the get go any evidence that might show, for example, that the polls are grossly oversampling Democratic voters in an election that has seen record influx to the Republican party. That’s a rather bizarre and uncharacteristic approach to knowledge gathering, Mish.
Q. Hillary Leaks Show Clinton Campaign and DNC Incite Violence at Trump Rallies: Will It Matter?
A. No. Thank goodness.
