Obamacare premiums are skyrocketing out of sight. A jump of a mere 30% looks like a good deal compared to jumps of over 50% in six states, and 93% in New Mexico.
Congratulations are in order for those living in a handful of states whose premiums only rose 20%.
The Wall Street Journal reports Rate Increases for Health Plans Pose Serious Test for Obama’s Signature Law.
Finalized rates for big health insurance plans around the country show the magnitude of the challenge facing the Obama administration as it seeks to stabilize the insurance market under the Affordable Care Act in its remaining weeks in office.
“The situation is serious,” said Alissa Fox, senior vice president of the Office of Policy and Representation for the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association. “The reason the premiums are where they are is that the people we are covering have serious conditions and they’re using a lot of medical services because of their chronic illnesses. That’s clear. And there’s not enough young, healthy people to balance out those costs.”
In Minnesota, for example, Blue Cross Blue Shield is pulling its preferred provider organization plans from the state’s online exchange, MNSure, and the narrow network product has been approved for an average rate increase of 55%.
Democratic Gov. Mark Dayton told local reporters that the law is “become unaffordable for many Minnesotans, a growing number with these rate hikes” and that federal and state action is necessary.
House Speaker Paul Ryan, a Wisconsin Republican, has gone further and said the insurance markets are already in a “death spiral,’” and that “we’re going to have to change this thing.”
The danger for insurers and supporters of the law now is that high prices and limited choices further deter low-risk people from signing up, and that the increases continue and become irreversible.
Approved Hikes
- Approved Hikes Just Under 20%: Colorado, Florida and Idaho
- Approved Hikes 20% to 29%: Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland
- Approved Hikes 30% to 49%: Alabama, Delaware, Hawaii, Kansas, Mississippi, Texas
- Approved Hikes 50% to 92%: Arizona, Illinois, Montana, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee
- Approved hikes 93%: New Mexico
Just a Transition
President Obama calls this a “transition” because insurers aggressively priced too low to get healthy people to sign up.
It’s a transition all right, to hell, for those watching rates skyrocket.
Meanwhile, young and healthy millennials have decided it is ridiculous to overpay for healthcare with $5,000 deductibles to support chronically ill smokers with cancer.
Obvious Death Spiral
I have been writing about the Obamacare death spiral since the legislation first passed. Some are now just catching on.
Please consider Now, Even Democrats Can see the ObamaCare Death Spiral.
Another day, another Democrat finally owning up to the fact that ObamaCare is a disaster. And another state facing the implosion of its health insurance market.
Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton — once one of the Affordable Care Act’s most enthusiastic champions — is the latest Democrat to publicly eat crow for that support.
With good reason: Tens of thousands of Minnesotans are losing their coverage next year. And premiums on individual plans — which enroll 250,000 North Star State residents — will rise an average 50 percent to 67 percent.
“The reality is the Affordable Care Act is no longer affordable for increasing numbers of people,” Dayton admitted last week, calling the situation in his state “an emergency.”
This just a week after former President Bill Clinton blasted ObamaCare as “the craziest thing in the world,” adding that “it doesn’t make sense.”
An S&P Global Ratings forecast warns that, for the first time since ObamaCare got rolling, participation in the program will actually shrink by up to 8 percent.
Ever-higher premiums are keeping younger, healthier Americans — the ones whose premiums were supposed to subsidize insurance for everyone else — away in droves.
And what President Obama intended as his signature domestic achievement is well on the way to becoming his biggest failure.
Obamacare About to Collapse
Rep. Michael Burgess M.D., Rep. Tom Price M.D., and Rep. Phil Roe M.D., all doctors, say ObamaCare is About to Collapse.
ObamaCare is collapsing. Its utter failures become more obvious by the day.
We all remember the promises of ObamaCare, chief among them that the “Affordable Care Act” would lower health care costs. The opposite has occurred.
In his 2008 campaign for president, then-candidate Sen. Barack Obama repeatedly promised to cut annual health insurance premiums by $2,500. When he took office in 2009, annual family premiums for employer-provided coverage, the most common of private insurance coverage, cost $13,375 according to Kaiser. In 2016, those premiums are $18,142. That’s an increase of $4,767.
Back in 2010 just before ObamaCare became law, President Obama’s Department of Health and Human Services forecast there would be 24.8 million individuals in the exchanges by 2016. The actual figure at the end of 2016 according to Avalere Health will be 10.1 million.
Not only are premiums skyrocketing, but individuals are also left with fewer choices in the ObamaCare exchanges.
The dwindling number of ObamaCare supporters repeatedly point to the fact that 20 million more Americans have coverage now than before ObamaCare.
The vast majority of those 20 million, however, have been dropped into a failing Medicaid program. Patients under our broken Medicaid system struggle to find doctors who see Medicaid patients.
It is a top-down system that has Washington dictating terms to the states that ignore the diverse needs of communities across this country. That is not a recipe for success, and studies have shown that Medicaid’s impact on the health status of enrollees is negligible.
Regardless, 31 states expanded their Medicaid programs under Obamacare. However, it is not going as promised. According to Dr. Brian Blase at the Mercatus Center, there are 50 percent more enrollees at a cost of 50 percent more per person than originally projected. These massive, unanticipated costs will only become more unaffordable in the coming years.
Those governors and state legislatures that rejected the Medicaid expansion have been vindicated.
Hillary Clinton’s solution is to double down on ObamaCare with more government involvement in health care. She believes the fundamentals of the law are sound and it simply needs more taxpayer subsidies.
Her other scheme is to add a so-called “public option” plan even though we’ve already seen the disastrous ObamaCare co-op experience – the original compromise to a public option in the ACA.
Finally, as if ObamaCare’s total collapse is not imminent enough, Clinton also wants to add illegal immigrants to ObamaCare at the same time that America’s veterans aren’t getting the care they deserve.
One column is not nearly enough space to chronicle all of ObamaCare’s failures. Additional dishonorable mentions include the president’s illegal bailouts of big health insurance companies, as well as a finding by the Government Accountability Office that 100 percent of their investigators with fake documents were able to fraudulently enroll in ObamaCare.
You can’t make this stuff up.

Mike “Mish” Shedlock
Let me tell you, Mish…It’s good to be out of IL. You should come visit Northern Idaho sometime…I think you’d like it.
My daughter lives with her family in West Virginia and just received notice of a 40% rate hike. This is IMPOSSIBLE for her and she is forced to have no health insurance in 2017 and must pay the stupid fine. I urged her to contact the staff for the two senators in West Virginia as well as the congressional representative to meet with them to review the impossibility of their position and ask for guidance on how they can cope with an obvious disaster. The premium for her and her family is $1,000 per month with a $5,000 deductible. This is the cheapest policy available (they should know, her husband is an insurance agent!)
Yes, and just wait until you get some age on you to see how cheap it is. At 63, my premiums are over $700/month for just me, and a $6500 deductible. And that is part of a group.
I feel so very special.
Opt OUT of Obamacare, with no penalty see Liberty Healthshare
Obama took my EXCELLENT kaiser individual health insurance away; now at age 60, just can’t pay the new scheme.
Your daughter doesn’t have to pay the ‘penalty’. The IRS is NOT allowed to lien any of her property or bank accounts. They can ONLY get that ‘penalty’ by keeping her refund of taxes on her annual federal income tax return. She needs to adjust her withholding so that at the end of the year she has a small amount of federal taxes to pay. Yes, the ‘penalty’ will be included in her “you owe this amount to the IRS” line but she only has to write a check for the taxes owed. I’m a CPA and go to annual tax seminars and this information was confirmed to all of us present by a former IRS agent who was teaching us the intricacies of obolacare.
You are free to confirm this by reading the section in the obolacare law that addresses such.
Outside of removing Bin Laden has Obama achieved much at all positive?
I’m an outsider looking in.
Actually, there is lots of proof that Bin Laden died in December 2001 of kidney failure complicated by Marfan’s disease, and is buried in Pakistan. The raid was all a lie to get Obama re-elected.
He adopted a dog.
Even IF Bin Laden is dead, why should Obama get any credit for that?
Also, It seems as though Obama likes to feed conspiracy theories:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Osama_bin_Laden#Freedom_of_Information_Act_requests_and_denials
I hate it when smarmy politicians take the credit for things they had little to with.
Didn’t Hillary claim credit for killing Bin Laden during the debate last night? Like Bin Laden said. “If you like your doctor you can keep him”.
Not a problem folks. Obama will sign an E.O. that will establish a government option. Each US county will be assigned one doctor and 2 hospitals/clinics per each 500,000 people. Waiting times will be guaranteed to be no more than 96 months. History will record that the day of this act’s passage was the start of the Great Genocide.
Obama’s Approval rating according to realcorruptpolitics.com is 49-55%, proving once and for all that educational lobotomies keep Americans happy.

The bank is printing absurd medical inflation. There is no chance of solving this problem with any program until bankers are reigned in. Record interest rates are creating record service inflation.
The bank’s medical inflation is zapping the federal and employer budgets. The bank’s education inflation is zapping state and local budgets.
“The bank is printing absurd medical inflation.”
Also, there’s the lack of a competitive bidding requirement for all government funded prescription drugs and supplies and government granted exemptions for anti-competitive behavior laws.
It’s good thing we had to pass it to see what was in it!
Tom K FTW
Fear not. White knight buffoons like Paul Ryan will doubtless rush in to the rescue with more subsidies and empty promises of future discipline.
Mish, I am no fan of ObamaCare but insurance premiums were going up at 2-3X the rate of inflation since at least 1990 prior to ObamaCare and the same culprits and solutions were being talked about by the Right all those years. You are correct in that the system is going to collapse but let’s say ObamaCare had not come along we would likely be in the same position right now and the only difference is people would not have had a target like ObamaCare to blame it on.
Circuitous thinking…Chase your tail much?
Garry what do you say to all the people who never wanted and still don’t want Obamacare but they are being forced to pay for it? Land of the Free my a**.
You say: “That’s what you get for being stupid enough to have been suckered into believing in the twin pagan gods of democracy and the rule of law.”
Speaking of suckered.
The Republicans took control of the Senate with the 2014 election. For several years prior Senate MINORITY leader McConnell barnstormed the country saying it was vital for Republicans to retake Senate to repeal ACA. Created a fervor that resulted in big win that election for the Republicans.
As Senate MAJORITY leader McConnell has uh, ..umm …
establishment republicans like Big Gov (and Obamacare is the ultimate Big Gov) as much as the democrats. They just aren’t as ideology driven as the left. They will NOT get rid of Obamacare, they will “fix” it. In other words, they will have Big Gov’s hand prints all over it, but with some program changes and a new name, but still 20% of the economy in their control. We saw their panic when SCOTUS was considering outlawing federal exchanges.
Any real reform of government will require a new perspective….nothing that can possibly come out of politicians. We might as well put them in charge of space travel….oh crap!
At least three requirements of Obamacare that made things much worse than the usual healthcare costs inflation: guaranteed issue or the elimination of underwriting for medical conditions; a decrease in age rating from an average of a 500 % spread between young and old to a maximum of a 300 % spread, shifting more of the costs to young healthy individuals; and additional mandated benefits such as first dollar coverage of preventive services.
This also allows you to back-out a truer rate of general consumer price inflation if you intuit that insurance premium inflation hasn’t suddenly gone from 2-3x the general inflation rate up to 20-30x; rather, consumer price inflation isn’t really a pittance after all. Premium inflation is probably still 2-3 times “something” that has been understated by 90% or so for several years.
Your real CPI: 10% Maybe 15.
Yes, I was shocked when I just enrolled our family in our corporate health care and for the exact same plan YOY our premiums increased 261%! Thank you Obama!
>
The failure of Obamacare will be a perfect legacy for Obama’s failed economy and failed administration.
Yeah, well … NOTHING like doubling down on failure.
…
As president, Hillary will:
Defend and expand the Affordable Care Act, which covers 20 million people. Hillary will stand up to Republican-led attacks on this landmark law—and build on its success to bring the promise of affordable health care to more people and make a “public option” possible. She will also support letting people over 55 years old buy into Medicare.

The Obama Affordable Death Plan (Or the Expedited Boomer Exit Plan) enables the middle and low income citizens to exit this world in a meaningless and cost effective way. Pay up or get the hell out, right? They have death taxes for the wealthy and extreme health insurance premiums for the less affluent boomers, to be sure to clean out their remaining bank accounts before they die.
Health care is a disaster but is it any more of a disaster than it was before Obamacare? What was the average cost increase for the 10 prior years versus the Obamacare years? What are the absolute cost numbers now compared to what they would have been under prior trajectory? What was the coverage and who benefited? What is your solution? It’s a half ass program because it did a semi government solution while not taking down any cost (profit). If we believe in competition, bring on the foreign competition for the whole thing including the pharma.
That’s bull. I have been providing insurance for my employees for many years and while rates did rise abruptly for a while, they had actually leveled out AND we did not have a $6,500 deductible, AND we were not FORCED to have insurance. Things are much different now, and what is worse we find our options narrowing quickly. Insurance has always been a problem as it is redistributing wealth from healthy to sick, and with ALL wealth redistribution schemes, you eventually run out of other people’s money. But our ability to simply go without was the one thing that kept a lid on it…but no more. Healthcare is not only a right, but is now an obligation. Make no mistake. We are forced to buy it, not for ourselves, but to pay for other “less fortunate” people.
“Anyone who did not see this coming is blind.”

Gonna be hard to vote for Hillary in New Mexico
Maybe not, could be half or more of the NM population is on government assistance. Why else would they be mostly democrats?
The real producers in this country are screwed. Everybody should just go on strike and say: I want a government check too. Shut all the factories, lay off all the workers. Then what would the government do?
I have already done that, closed my business and no longer hire anyone. Reduced my regulations to follow and taxes and gov. reports to file by 90%. Works for me, screw ’em.
The Insurance Industry Lifetime Achievement Award will still go to Obama when he leaves office. The 2017 timing is brilliant, because the average person will not notice any of this until after the 2016 presidential election. Mish readers are ahead of the curve.
No one seems to cover the real Obamacare crisis. Instead they cover the millions of more people that now have coverage by getting government subsidies. It would have been far, far cheaper to just give them the subsidies to buy existing insurance policies.
The story that needs to be covered is the millions upon millions in the middle class who now face a three thousand dollar deductible that they can ill afford. And three thousand dollars often no longer covers a single trip to the emergency room. So in exchange for subsidies to get a few million people “covered”, we have essentially left much of the middle class no longer covered, unable to seek treatments that their old policies would have readily covered.
Anyone who did not see this coming is blind.
That would be over half the voters in this country and they voted blind TWICE and are about to elect Hillary by voting BLIND yet again.
Healthcare costs will continue to rise so long as the premise remains intact that everyone is entitled to as much healthcare as they desire, and that such healthcare will always be state of the art (enforced by the plaintiff’s bar).
The solutions to healthcare much involve things that actually reduce the cost, such as:
1. Putting consumers in a position to decide what healthcare the want, and how much they are willing to pay for it (i.e. price shopping).
2. Allowing Healthcare Companies to sell limited policies which cover only enumerated things, and not other things not listed.
3. Allowing a governmental entity, or pseudo-governmental entity to decide what items insurance will pay for, and what items will be provided only at patients full expense (i.e. treatments which, while good, are inordinately expensive).
4. Allowing the medical insurance system to decline payments for items deemed unnecessary (such as going to the emergency room for a cold).
There are obviously more similar ideas that could reduce cost, but none of them are in Obamacare. Instead it merely encourages continued expansion of costs, and attempts to spread the costs differently.
Exactly what Trump said last night…..including that Bill Clinton said Obamacare was no good while Hillary sang its praises…….this is the kind of stuff that might help our dark horse win……just like Brexit…..the people are pissed off and revolting.
Any politician who voted for this (all Dems) should be sentenced to 10 years hard labor. No joke. Mark Dayton is a moron.
Americans are going to Mexico for Heath Care now while illegals pour in for the free shit.
http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/health/2016/10/20/allure-cheap-doctors-drugs-and-dentists-mexico/90497096/
True, I know someone who does that. She’s still a democrat, never figured it out, but does know where cheap doctors are.
According to government, it’s not failure, it’s underfunded
Here in Saint-Peterburg $500 a year will buy you almost everything including hospital stay. And I’m talking about a foreign citizen residing in RF. This is group insurance for a company with more than 50 people. Regular citizen have free medical care for all. Of course it is not as advanced as Swiss, but you have to remember that USSA is in 28 place in the world for regular medical care. That excludes ConGress and the others of course.
my advice would be to look into going to the mariners hospital in Klaipeda, Lithuania. For less than a thousand you fly to Lithuania; motel bills will be seventy dollars, but as quickly as possible you take an apartment outside the city for fifty a month. I like Silute. When you need to go to the hospital, take the bus.
Buy yourfood at the farmers’ markets on market day, enjoy the amber museum and amber sales in Palanga, visit the castle in Kaunas, and generally have a nice vacation at 1/6 the cost of living in the US. At the end of three months, slide over to Riga, Latvia. Three months more, hit Estonia.
Take a three month trip to France or England on Eurobus, and then back to Lithuania.
Umm… Mish better stay out of France.
And our super-majority GOP House and majority GOP Senate told us once we put them into power that they would repeal ObamaCare. Remember? That was what? 4 years ago?
Worthless as mammary glands on a bull moose.
What difference does it make anymore if we vote Democrat or Republican? We get the same damn outcome. What good are they?
I’ve had it with these GOP traitors. I’m voting all Dem on Nov 08 except for Trump. The GOP no longer represents me. I’d rather vote for the enemy than for a bunch or traitors who claim to be my friend.
Republicans had zero ability to get rid of ObamaCare. That was just campaign BS. Shame on you for believing them.
Come on LF, you know those repubs & dems are all the same. I think you are just mad because you got tricked. Jon is right; shame on you for believing them. Get over it.
Illegal aliens are now entitled to Medi-Cal (Medicaid) in California.
And nobody can figure out why their Obamacare premiums and deductibles continue to rise. ha.
We’re an idiot nation.
Im not an expert on health care issues, but Im still wondering why there’s so huge difference on affordability of HC between USA and Germany (where I now reside). The HC is excellent here and we pay around 8% of our brutto income into it. The other half comes from employer side which I find fair. HC is a must here to have (legislation).
So how come HC is ruining people in the US?
Because healthcare insurance and obamacare are a scam.
” President Obama calls this a “transition” because insurers aggressively priced too low to get healthy people to sign up. ”
Jonathan Gruber calls it the stupidity of the average American. No Republican votes supported ACA. Democrats passed this on their own. The Supreme Court decided to uphold it and in doing so declared it as a tax.
Finally, just to add insult to injury or possibly to show everyone else that they aren’t as smart, they added a clause which exempts Congress from the ACA and it’s mandates. Wonderful. I bet we re-elect 90% of these assclowns.
95%. What choice do you have? Vote for the other party?
Vote for third party or the outsider Trump. I cannot figure out what someone is thinking when they say they hate establishment politicians but won’t vote for the most anti-establishment major candidate I can ever remember. OK he has bad hair. Get over it.
Mish
We are in El Paso. Have not filed a claim in 22 years
Our premium is going up 60%
With Obamacare collapsing everywhere, the guy still wants to go out with some sort of legacy. So he is campaigning for Obamatrade now (aka TPP) which will be voted on after the Nov elections. It will pass with about 40% of the Dems and 65% of the Repubs voting for it in the House and the Senate.
The big question is how do we get out of this complex trap that Washington has created. In a piece titled, “Unexpected cost increase could complicate future Medicaid expansion” the PBS Newshour reported the evidence is rapidly mounting that Obamacare is moving towards failure it was reported by the PBS. The long-term effects of Obamacare are that it has driven healthcare costs through the roof.
It appears the reason the Presidential campaigns are not more focused on healthcare is that it is a complex polarizing issue best left to be corrected by flowery promises rather than hard facts. More on the problems in the article below.
http://brucewilds.blogspot.com/2016/08/obamacare-moves-quietly-towards-failure.html
Meanwhile, the Californians who relocated to Colorado are trying to get communist healthcare:
http://www.denverpost.com/2016/09/23/colorado-amendment-69-coloradocare/
The welfare statists will double-down on “free” health care, and everything else they can think of, cheering on their DNC leaders. I predict future historians will see Obama as merely the beginning of a new golden age of rule for the Democrats, and an era of unprecedented growth of the nanny-state in the US. Three lost presidential elections is no accident: the Republicans are in ideological disarray, and it is hard to imagine a comeback any time soon. Around what principles would the confused fans of Trump versus Cruz versus Rubio rally around? Maybe xenophobia, but certainly not capitalism. In contrast, the Democrats have the unity of their faux principles: blame the rich, blame whites, blame the West.
The new statism will probably feel better at first to tens of million of semi-conscious Americans — “free” health care and college, yay! — but within a couple decades the layers of debt and lowered productivity will make it impossible to maintain the mirage of financial health for the middle class.
The only hope in our lifetime is that the economy will become merely terrible without actually collapsing — and there will be loud voices correctly identifying capitalism and freedom as moral and the only practical cure.
The quoted article that talks about how the ACA was intended to “lower” costs is dead wrong. The whole point of ACA was always to get a larger percentage of Americans covered by medical insurance. The only “savings” are created by subsidies the wealthy (and healthy) provide to the less well to do.
And it’s succeeded wildly. A greater share of Americans are covered by health care insurance than ever.
Of course, all this new health care for the poor is being paid for by the middle class. The ACA is really nothing more than a wealth transfer program.
What we really need is reform to LOWER the cost of health care, not just to find more suckers to pay for it. Unfortunately, NO politicians want to take on the health-care industrial complex. Not the Democrats and NOT the Republicans.
Agreed
As an outsider, my view is that Obamacare is quickly destroying the remnants of the middle class. Private sector American workers are now one disease away from getting exactly the same disposable income as the welfare class. Why the fuck should they work hard ?
Not sure the system can last oferever
Obama care was and is designed to fail and was from the beginning. Many do not get it. This plan will transform into a single payer government system. 2017 will be interesting when all the waivers for this piece of crap legislation.
Many of you who cheer this piece of crap forget those of us that do not want this system are required to pay for it by force. If we would quit stop government funding medicine and allowing the medical community and insurance companies to basically rob people things would change.
Do not believe all the hype that the USA medical community is the best on the planet it is not. Just look at life expectancies around the globe. Most places higher then ours healthcare is much lower. But then they are held accountable for their health unlike the obese USA.
The medical, community, insurance are all subsidized big time in this country and it should stop. Not going to happen though. Many here bitch and complain but nothing is going to change until; the people want change.
Do not worry when Hillary wins her single payer plan will be implemented as it was designed when Bill was in office. We are all screwed!
Generally agree Old Guy but, life expectance is not just medical care. Life style probably has more to do with it. My relatives in Scandinavia refer to American’s as “The Fat People”.
The US healthcare system was a disaster before ACA and continues to be a disaster after it. The poor have always been able to get health care paid by the taxpayer by going to emergency rooms. ACA just shifts how the middle class gets robbed to pay for the indigent.
Moreover, massive healthcare insurance increases have been occurring for decades. I saw my insurance increase by double digit percentage points years since 1990! The only way I could keep my insurance rates down were to keep picking less generous policies.
I don’t get all that worked up about ACA because the US healthcare system was ALREADY broken before it came on the scene. What does frustrate me is the complete lack of will on the part of policy makers to take on the entire healthcare industry and REALLY reduce costs.
Competition is the only long term solution to price controls. Government, centralizing control of insurance is doing the opposite. It only makes sense though as the government IS the largest insurance company in the world. They leverage on real, imaginary and contrived threats to sell us insurance against ALL risks claiming only they can do so….and ALL for a very affordable cost of our liberties, a large percentage of anything we might earn and rent on every real asset we think we own in the form of property taxes. We voluntarily live in a golden cage and are discovering we do not hold its keys, and what looked to be gold is simply a thin coat of spray paint.
I don’t use the governments insurance, so my focus is more on the affect that it has had on the rest of us and rising costs. My son and his wife are about to have a baby, but for her to stay home and raise their child, it will cost them an extra $900/month in insurance. My plan at work is self funded…….but so many cannot afford the insurance, and many are ill, so our numbers are small and the plan stinks with a deductible of 4k/yr. I hope I don’t get sick or injured. It was said a few years back when this was in the works that it was simply a precursor to frustrate everyone enough to drive us to single payer national health care. Well here we are……..are you frustrated enough yet?
You can buy levothiroxin 88 in SPb $2.50
Walmart $25
Same is with the rest of it!!!
I think they are not telling us that we are f^$ed 10 times over 🙂 with a nice meaning of it
The AmeriConned Sheeple want Bammycare and now they’re getting it good and hard.
I hope they thank Obammy, Nancy Blowsi and all the rest of the Demonrat criminal clowns. They are all criminals and economically illiterate.
Are you saying Obamacare is causing all these price hikes? As I remember, prices were out of control before Obamacare. For the majority Obamacare does nothing for us, it just subsidies some poorer people that could not afford health insurance previously
I live here in Minnesota… MNSure offered me a sweeeeet deal.. $5,000 deductible, after that they cover 80%.. all for the slim price of $529.00. Probably gonna be $700.00 nxt year. Think I’ll pass and get my thyroid meds from online pharmacies. Apparently Twitter’s been hacked again this afternoon. Very nice.

The only way to bring down health care costs is with a universal, publicly funded health care system like they have in other industrialized countries.
