Nigel Farage interviewed French presidential candidate Marie le Pen this week. It’s a 40-minute interview covering many topics. One key idea stood out: Le Pen discussed the “Prison of the EU”.
Le Pen is correct, the EU is not a free trade union, it is a customs union as well as a prison. “Change everything or we are leaving,” says le Pen.

Nothing will change.
I read, see, listen.
The French will fall in with Macron.
The next round of EU elections might just do it, not this one.
The EU project is set on autopilot. It was designed that way and with new authority be discussed now it will be virtually impossible to leave as the nation state governments will have been neutered. Sovereignty will reside in Brussels for all outside of relatively unimportant regional matters.
Donald Trump Works For Wall Street, Not Russia

Excerpt:
It’s now completely obvious that the Trump administration has been hijacked by Wall Street, so where’s the resistance? When it comes to the self-proclaimed leaders of this “resistance,” the corporate media and the Democratic Party, the resistance is nowhere to be found. They’re simply too busy focusing on invented Russia conspiracy theories to deal with the provable conspiracy right in front of their faces. I find that quite curious.
It doesn’t take much critical thinking to immediately discover why. Russia fear-mongering is the perfect way to superficially oppose Trump, without actually opposing him. Corporate media and Democrats don’t dare focus on Trump’s Wall Street embrace because Wall Street owns their asses too. That’s the dirty little secret here.
While that’s bad enough, the only reason Trump is actually able to get away with such an obvious betrayal and lack of swamp drainage, is because his supporters allow him to.
——-
He fails to mention that the Russian conspiracy theories also serve the very valuable purpose encouraging an intensification of Cold War v2.0.
On Trump’s puny suggested cuts to the EPA, HUD, etc., which the Dems say they will fight, the total amount saved if this is even allowed is 1/68th of just the fed debt accrued in 2016. Smoke and mirrors… draining an ocean sized swamp with a straw. The “Change you can believe in” candidate v2.0. I’m not at all surprised.
“President Donald Trump’s first budget proposal will look to increase defense and security spending by $54 billion and cut roughly the same amount from non-defense programs. A Trump administration official told CNN that all $54 billion will be cut in fiscal year 2018.”
Seriously looking at German nukes too or at least a European deterrent.
Imagine France outside the EU confronting a Germany with nukes.
Macron will win and the impetus to achieve full integration will rise. Forget a sovereign France. LePen is a wishful thinker, it won’t be allowed to happen.
Maybe, but it is even more deranged to not step back without preconceptions and look at the all.
Who knew of upcoming WW even a year before they occured? Even at the start it was assumed by many to be a brief ‘encounter’.
So look at some contrary :
US considered siding with Germany against alliance at one point, is challenging Russia to now, France Le Pen is for relations with Russia, may leave EU and hem in its other main founder Germany, nukes in Germany have been labelled as of use BY host country, new struts being fitted to German aircraft so they are compatible to the type.
Just a taste, and from ‘qualified’ study, and all eventual directions are hypothesis
BUT
the point is, if you reject lines of thought outright then you are not thinking.
No – that’s the reason the EU won’t be allowed to fail.
That thinking is at the heart of the project.
It will not be allowed even as a very small % chance.
You need to study history and then engage brain to see what boundaries keep behaviours and thoughts the way they are.
Just like the German fear of inflation there is a deep fear of French-German confrontation that only increases now Germany is reunited, powerful and potentially armed with nukes.
Like Wilders Le Pen is too extreme in language and her economic policies are dangerous. Fillon had very similar policies, except on the economy, and was cruising to victory before the contrived scandals. A big shame, Fillon perhaps represented the electable future of the patriotic right.
Le Pen’s economic policies likely better than Hollande and Hammon, but certainly not as good as Fillon. Her language is not that extreme. He father’s language was very extreme.
Nothing will change.

Without the European Coal and Oil Community and the Marshall plan, and varioius add-ons since, we might have gone there.
