The Telegraph says Emmanuel Macron ‘wins 60 percent of Vote”
This was expected by all the recent polls including polls following the last televised debate between Macron and Marine Le Pen.
Emmanuel Macron has beaten Marine Le Pen in Sunday’s French election and taken more than 60 percent of the vote, according to several early exit polls.
Polling conducted by Ipsos, Ifop and BVA all gave Mr. Macron, the pro-business candidate, a strong lead over Front National leader Marine Le Pen.
It comes after a massive hacking attack on Mr. Macron’s campaign database over the weekend which saw hundreds of thousands of private emails and official documents dumped online.
Le Pen was uninspiring the latest debate and undecided voters either sat the election out or voted for Macron.
Can Macron find support for his policies?
We will find out in the parliamentary elections on June 11 and June 18 in another two-round election.

The frog boil will continue.
The frog had a chance to jump.
Instead the favorite won, precluding any chance to turn up the heat.
Frog jumping is an individual action.
…they gave chief frog immunity from prosecution to take away the heat… oops, that was only for him, but sure he will repay the good deed… seems a bit warmer lately though, stuffy almost…
GO GET BOTTLE OF CHAMPAGNE WE WON
Hi MISH We defeated Marine Le Pen I am proud as a right wing republican conservative
who lost at 1rst round with candidate Fillon to have voted this afternoon against this woman
Do you know that she was against so called cac 40 shareholders and she criticized traders
She is a nationalist and anticapitalist candidate bad bad bad For my part I like Trump
Well tomorrow be ready to see stxx indexes surge ie go higher in Europe
FRANCE is supported by GERMANY
EURO CURRENCY will remain and be stronger
Remember one cannot bet against France
People/ citizens against globalisation and free market economy were defeated
What we need is lower regulations and lower taxes and labor law reforms to implement
VIVE LA FRANCE !!
VIVE L EUROPE !!
VIVE LES ETATS UNIS D AMERIQUE !!
VIVE MISH !!!
“What we need is lower regulations and lower taxes and labor law reforms to implement”
Very true, Stephane. Unfortunately you EU people have zero chance to get any of that.
Actually, you just did vote against France. Le Pen was never the answer to the political problems, she was only the bringer of change, much badly needed change. Instead, you now have a president who will be the puppet of Holland. You’ve elected an idiot as a hardliner on Brit exit. You need the Brits to buy your stuff, you and Germany. But what did you do? You threw away the once change for change. The euro will fall, you only delayed that for a year of two. But more than that, you just sold your country down the river to the Islamists. Enjoy the new sharia law. Enjoy having your great vineyards ripped up and replanted. kiss your cognac good bye. And by the way, enjoy the destruction of all the western art in your country. Watch your cathedrals crumble from lack of repair. Watch your culture burn on the ash heap of history. That is what you voted for. Sorry Stephane, I rather like living in France, but there will come a time when I must leave forever. It’s looks much sooner now.
https://mobile.twitter.com/GoodwinMJ/status/861317005152014337/photo/1
You think the EU will let you do whatever you want, Stephane?
That doesn’t seem very realistic.
They want less capitalistic freedom, not more.
More or less on expected lines. Le Pen was going to always find it difficult given that the French people want the Euro if not the EU. Looks like people do not mind having Brussels as their masters. If only the French had the spine of the Britisher Pen would have found the going better. Also she should pick up a few tips from Trump on running an effective campaign.
Cash Euros are easily deposited in a Swiss, Luxembourg, or Cayman account. Francs would be more traceable and involve a conversion fee.
Hello creeping sharia law…
Guess who is going to win the next French presidential election…
Lower turnout than recent elections.
Indicative of higher than normal % of people lacking much conviction.
Lowest since 1969 according to France24.
Maybe they left?
The Freex just committed suicide by the ballot box. They are nice smart people as individuals but collectively they have no sense. Look at their history. A few highly touted changes amounting to little while the entrenched bureaucracy prevents any real change. The place is going to become irrelevant in Europe in time. But noisy. You heard it first from the Alligator guru in SW Florida.
Enjoy the coming Caliphate.
This is going to lead to all out political chaos and political conflict in France.
Enormous amount of scandal brewing for him that was blocked from publication leading up to the election. He is going to be playing whack-a-mole for the next 5 years, if he lasts that long (I predict that he won’t).
The Parliament are going to be shifting position during the next weeks as if under a starting gun in a NASCAR competition. Some will move to En Marche and some will not. I believe that the National Front will be a force in Parliament. National Front tends to be strong in the provinces (similar to America’s ‘flyover country’).
Combined with this will be the continued terrorist danger, issues over immigration and the usual diktats being issued by the EU.
Next years are going to be nightmarish for the French – and ultimately they will have to face a disintegrating environment and the continued stresses of being a member of the EU.
Further it is rumoured that his meeting with PM May was not a good one. No doubt his election will strengthen the possibility of a ‘hard Brexit’.
Juncker has called it a positive development. That says it all.
Difficult to predict but I think the french will vote traditionally for the parliament. I would bet the republicans will win the parliament (fillon is out) and En Marche and the the National front might get 20-25%. En marche could even get less if the PS is around 15%.
So it could well be Macron need to choose a republican prime minister that will constitute his government. The reason is that Macron is elected by default because he was the only alternative to lepen. But only 23% really wanted him as president.
Charles, is that 23% for real?
Very weak.
When he is called lame duck I thought it might just be a label, but 23% is lame duck indeed.
Not wanted rather than just lame duck.
Now what…France goes from a dysfunctional president to a stooge whose only virtue is his semblance to a hitman.
Well, as pointed out by Le Pen, France is going to be governed by a woman.,.
marrying his 10th grade teacher 25 years his senior shows a definite beta male side
Actually there is a clear majority of French that do not want Europe anymore nor globalists agenda.
But French will never vote for lepen for what she represent and also because she is unable to lead France. She is totally fake.
Important to understand it is pointless to look or worse try to predict outcome on French politics when seeing the world with an american filter.
Big congrats to mish for refraining to predict the results.
Maybe, but then you actually need a country for it to be able to be led.
@charles42570 — “she is unable to lead France”
True, but Macron can’t lead France either. Neither could Hollande.
The political establishment that corrupts Paris no longer has the support of “old France”, and certainly doesn’t have the support of Algerians (who are generally legal immigrants, even if unloved by France), and now they also don’t have the support of middle eastern illegal immigrants.
Its not as difficult as you think to predict that France cannot be governed because there is no longer any such thing. A handful of crooks trying to ingratiate themselves to Brussels while thousands of illegal immigrants work to remake France in the image of Syria or Lebanon…
Which is the future of France. Lebanon used to be a fairly integrated society where Christians and Muslims lived side by side and no one bothered anyone else (talking several decades ago). Now Lebanon is a war torn country with religious sectors that are just not crossed. It may be one country on western maps, but not in practical terms.
France just disintegrated in practical terms. Macron is the lame duck president of “one country” that already split itself apart in practical terms.
I will not comment on the immigrants because this is emotional reaction and far from the reality on the ground. And the comparison with syria or Lebanon simply ridiculous.
The one that will lead France will be the prime minister and it could well be as I wrote earlier that he will be from the republican party. If that is the case Macron lead will be quite limited, and that would in fact better represent what the french people wanted.
Cry all you want. France is already going the way of its former colony (Lebanon).
Socialism kills and causes economic suffering. Always has, always will. Your denial won’t change anything
You are crying, out of fears. Humans are really good at fears. It is how we have survived for thousands of years. It really become a problem when the fearful try to predict the future. They always see it a lot worse than it will ever be. Politicians are really good at dealing fears. Hollywood too.
Charles, calling me names won’t change the many news stories we all see about terrorists groups running circles around France’s security forces (police, military etc).
The Algerian slums on the outskirts of Paris are there, and have been growing for decades right under your nose. France has completely failed to integrate the Algerians, nor have you come up with a plan to ship them back to Algeria (which is itself still a mess). I don’t know which plan is better (integrating or shipping them back) — I just know successive French governments have just stuck their heads in the sand.
And the French economy is such an epic disaster, with sky high unemployment even ignoring immigrants.
Your attempts to muddy the messenger (me) instead of addressing the issues is why France is doomed. France is choosing to self destruct
I did not call you name. I lived many years in Africa and experience a few coups. For people back at home it seems very dangerous. Not for people on the ground. Behind a computer many situations seems dangerous.
I won’t say which country, but some of my earliest memories are sitting in a pub (it was a restaurant, not a drinking hole) and seeing the owner tell the adults at the table that police had found a bomb in the building next door (on the other side of the wall)… and would we like to move to another table further away?
That bomb proved to be a dud (and/or the police dismantled it, not sure). Another bomb went off elsewhere in the same city and hollowed out an entire building. No one was sure about deaths or injuries, and authorities were not about to risk sending anyone in to find out — the government was “in charge” on paper but not really and they knew it. Snipers were positioned all over the place to take out government investigators and military escorting them.
After leaving that country, my family flew threw what was then Athens…. and I got to watch all the armored personnel carriers and half-traks that were “protecting” the airport.
If you really did spend time in Africa, then you know the locals keep a list in their heads of places to avoid (even for them, never mind tourists). There are places that could erupt in violence at any time.
Like it or not, places like that exist in France. Have you ever visited the Algerian slums right outside of Paris? That is a rhetorical question, since you are commenting here. French people are not very welcome
In 2013 over 35% of births in France were to parents with susceptibility to sickle cell disease meaning that those over 35% of births were to either african or middle-eastern muslim or indian parents.
Algerians and other muslims from Africa and middle-east will turn France into Algeria and then into a muslim caliphate with sharia laws simply due to outbreeding native French.
.
When those 35% turn 18 years old and start making babies on average 10 years earlier than French and make on average over twice times more babies than the native French it will mean 70%-90% of babies born starting 2031 will be muslims and africans.
Sickle cell data:
http://www.eurocanadian.ca/2014/10/the-africanization-of-france-2014.html
The french extreme right abuse of sickle cells stats is well documented.
There are many flaws such as the test is done based on geography not ethnic and include south Europe national (Greece, italy…etc). The great majority of french black Africans are Christians not Muslim. And France like usa was a country of immigration. So it is not because you have a ancestor from one of those geography that you are arab nor muslim. It is not the one drop rule anymore.
Charles trots out the distraction that sickle cell stats do not mean anything (in a country which is prepared to lie at all costs to the point of making it illegal to make statistics how many of the children born are to african and muslim parents).
Well let’s say that southern italian and greek parents hypothetically make as many babies as muslims and africans while in France. This would mean they would be having 5% of the kids born in France leaving muslims and africans with 30% of babies born in 2013.
Since southern italians and greeks make about the same amount of babies while in France as native french this means muslims and africans actually make about 33% of babies in France.
.
Since France is not 33% muslim and African yet this means that they are outbreeding native French quite rapidly and once the kids born in 2013 turn 18 years old in 2031 they will keep making much more babies than native french and starting from 18 years old when french start 28-35 years old so babies born starting in 2031 will be 70%-90% african and muslim.
Over 50% of kids being born will be muslim and african in France starting probably from 2020.
.
Another distraction Charles tries is to claim that “black africans” who move to France are mostly christian. Firstly that is an intentional distraction because Algeria from where most muslims who have moved to France and muslims who move to France come from is 99% muslim but clearly Charles is intentionally not counting algerians as africans but specifically excluding them by talking about “black africans”.
Even black africans moving to France are mostly muslims so Charles attempts at creating confusion and lying by obfuscation are pathetic.
.
Charles don’t you think that multiculturalism is a great thing and the fact that kids born in France will soon be over 50% muslim and african is a beautiful thing?
.
I hope Charles and Macron voters will be celebrating the coming africanization and muslimization and islamization of France with great fanfare and lots of joy.
.
Soon 70%-90% of babies being born in France will be to african and muslim parents and France’s economy is sure to prosper just like Africa and middle East have prospered and there will be a great time of peace among people in France just like there is great peace among people in Africa and Middle-East.
Oh wait…Are Middle East and Africa booming economically in great peace…???

Macron has no platform / agenda, which is handy because he also has no party backing him and no way to implement an idea if he had one.
The email scandal may have been temporarily suppressed, but he is still going to have to deal with the fallout now — as an incoming lame duck president.
Neither candidate had a plan to fix the long list of things that are wrong with France: a malfunctioning economy, illegal immigration and related crime epidemics, the failure to integrate even the legal immigrants into French society, and lets not forget the perennial corruption problem that is Paris.
And Macron creates a new problem — his indebtedness to all things EU is really bad for French farmers, who essentially just lost their UK export market. A high price to pay, considering the EU doesn’t have a plan for survival either.
Le Pen, unlike Macron, has a bunch of party members in the French legislature and in local governments — is she going to play nice with a guy who’s email scandal was censored from the public? What possible incentive does her party have to help Macron avoid collapse?
England scored a huge victory in the French election, but that result was pre-ordained regardless of who won.
“La partie continue,”—Casablanca 1942…
Long the Euro.
Long? please do, someone has to take that toilet paper off my hands;)
The next step for Le Pen (if she doesn’t make her temporary resignation permanent) is change the name of her party. Calling your party a ‘front’ sounds militaristic and hostile.
It is actually the so-called ‘liberals’ (socialists) who are most prone to intervening in other people’s lives and into other nation’s cultures. Macron is the most likely to continue France’s support for the terrorists in Syria who are trying to bring down the Assads.
France is going the way of Lebanon — one country on western maps, but really a half dozen factions that oscillate between distrust one month and open hostility the next month.
Lebanon was once a wonderful country (50-100 years ago), peaceful and prosperous…. now its a on-going civil war. That is the future of what used to be called France
Yes, I know Lebanon was a wonderful country before the civil war started on April 13, 1975. I am not sure what brought about the civil war other than Palestinian refugees who allied themselves with the socialist Druze militia. Nassim Taleb had different take on it this morning with this tweet:
https://twitter.com/nntaleb/status/861188199175122945
I have some former neighbors who like to joke that their ancestral home has been located in Lebanon, Israel, Syria and Jordan … but the house hasn’t moved in two centuries, just the national borders.
They don’t know who fired the first shot in Lebanon’s civil war… but they say its a lot like what happened in Afghanistan about the same time (early 1970s). Socialists came in with all sorts of idealistic but stupid plans… chaos and economic suffering happened quickly, and then various religious entities started congregating together for safety.
Socialism kills and destroys. Always has. This time will not be different.
“Socialists came in with all sorts of idealistic but stupid plans…”
When did this happen and who where the ‘socialists’ who ‘came in’? And what about the Palestinian refugees who were driven out of Jordan in 1970? Did they not try to form their own state within Lebanon? What about other Palestinian refugees like the PFLP (founded by an Orthodox Christian)?
Dead right!. That “Socialism” stuff is going to ruin the USA.[not just the USA]. Parasite socialism is what you have there. Socialism of the rich. The poor get none, The rich socialise their losses but privatise the profits. These parasite socialists are going to continue to strip the wealth out of the country and then the peons will finally see what’s been done to them and turn nasty. Pitchforks are out of production so it will be guns. Plenty of them!
Socialism wouldn’t ever happen if not for the banks and their reckless ponzi scheme debt hegemony. Socialism is a backlash to crony finacialized foolishly unregulated capitalism. Excessive private debt and phony asset values are the real threat to democracy.
Are you asking about Lebanon or Afghanistan?
In Lebanon, there were a lot of socialist leaning parties (some in name only, some had other names but pushed for socialism). The big example being the Druze Progressive Socialists, who later joined forces with one of the Muslim groups to dominate western Beirut. You are right that there were lots of “outside groups” (including Palestinians) that were brought in or pushed out as European powers drew boundaries from 1000 miles away. The entire French Syria/Lebanon/Jordan “mandate” (from the League of Nations aka EU 1.0) was a disaster… not to be confused with the French mandate in French-Indochina (better known to Americans as the Vietnam war).
In Afghanistan, the King was getting very old. His son wanted to implement some reforms while keeping a constitutional monarchy (similar to what England has now), but the socialist party started pushing laws that would essentially have ended the monarchy completely. The King’s son clamped down on the socialist rebellion, civil war broke out … that is when the scenes from the book “Kite Runner” happened, and religious factions started clustering together for protection. Unfortunately, that meant the Taliban were the strongest faction with the most control over the ravaged country.
Socialism wrecked both Lebanon and Afghanistan — pretty much followed the same playbook. It was a disaster in both cases, even if the “next dumb idea” (religion based factions) is what made western news outlets
Nassim Taleb just showed that he is clueless.
.
Amount of muslims per country:
Malta: under 1% muslim
Cyprus (the developed western side): under 1% muslim
Cyprus (the turkey controlled side that is not developed) over 90% muslim
Lebanon 54% muslim.
.
So the developed countries Malta and Cyprus (the western side that is in EU) have as a common thing lack of muslims.
Backwards Turkish-cyprus and Lebanon have as common things lots of muslims.
kat sausage, what does this tell you about Northern Europe then?
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C_O1gcEXgAEnDnF.jpg
France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and Sweden and UK will first turn 15% muslim and then 30% muslim and then 50% muslim and then go the way of Lebanon.
.
When muslims start making babies on average 10 years earlier than the native europeans and when they make 4-6 babies per woman to native europeans 1-2 babies per woman the demographic muslimization and the following islamization of those countries is guaranteed.
.
Denmark and Norway might still save themselves because they have tightened policies all the time and Denmark now demands 4,5 years of employment during the preceding 5 years before one can apply for citizenship and this means most muslims will not get citizenship there because of the large welfare dependency and huge unemployment among them.
Norway has been running massive deportations of all immigrants convicted of serious crimes like assaults, rapes, gang rapes and drug dealing and as a consequence the amount of crimes is dropping.
.
However Sweden still does NOT deport even the two Afghans who committed gang-rape through Facebook Live. Sweden gives citizenships to criminals and welfare customers and then wonders why there is so much ghettoization in Sweden.
.
Btw, the muslim stats in Finland are off because 35,000 asylum seekers from Iraq, Somalia and Afganistan ran to Finland through Austria, Germany, Denmark and Sweden during 2015 because Sweden was so full that asylum seekers were forced to sleep on the streets and because asylum acceptance rates were higher in Finland than in Austria, Germany and Denmark.
Now the acceptance rates for asylum have been cut with better country situation reports, more thorough questioning and making sure that simple facebook copied fairytale no longer gets you asylum.
.
However new issue in Finland is that 4800 asylum seekers have disappeared from authorities and most of these travelled to other countries with many ending up in Sweden because it is easier to live in sweden in the immigrant ghettoes and in the underground economy that they form than in Finland.
Sweden has even started patrolling their border with Finland to stop failed asylum seekers from moving from Finland to Sweden.
.
In Finland almost half of somali women are single mothers and continually pregnant (with the fathers having multiple wives) with many somali women having 7-8 kids before they turn 30 years old meaning the muslim population is multiplying very very quickly in Finland.
.
Finland also turns a blind eye to horrible genital mutilation among somalis with somali parents sending their daughters to have their vaginas ripped off back in Somalia on a vacation and then returned to Finland to study in school and to import a husband from Somalia through family re-unification straight to welfare after they turn 18 years old after having another vacation in Somalia where the daughters are married off.
.
The finnish hospitals refuse to report horribly mutilated somali girls and women giving birth in horrible agony with finnish political correctness over-riding everything so finnish midwives and doctors hide the female genital shredding committed by somalis and refuse to report it to police and instead just train midwives to help somali women with completely destroyed vaginas to give birth and doctors to correct the horrible complications.
Finnish doctors and midwives who continue to hide this phenomenon and refuse to make police reports about the completely destroyed vaginas of most somali women have no soul and no humanity left in them.
They are just slaves to an utterly disgusting form of political correctness and deathly afraid that they will be called racists if they report the horrors to police and the politicians run away from their responsibility together with police and finnish justice system with everyone just pretending that the horror does not exist.
.
If I was younger I would consider a move to Hungary, Czech, Slovakia, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia or Estonia or Portugal and find a nice woman to love and make lots of kids.
Other option is to stay put and have lots of kids in western Europe and teach them to always questions incompetent politicians and incompetent bureaucrats and never believe the multicultural lie that importing people who are more likely unemployed, more likely criminal, who view western values and ideas as bad and who have dreams about world conquest drummed into their heads in the local mosque together with extremist islam would somehow make the country more richer and more tolerant.
.
Most of western Europe is doomed to self-destruction and turning into Lebanon and then Turkey and then to Iraq, Afganistan, Somalia etc…
.
If markets were efficient the debt interest rates would be going thru the roof because Muslim France or Muslim Sweden will not be able to pay back the government debts.
The future of France is the same as Lebanon:
http://www.cnn.com/2015/05/19/travel/beirut-five-star-hotels-faded-glamor-cnngo/
France and Lebanon have little in common. Lebanon is tiny country with a free trade culture. France has always tended towards socialism.
Lebanon is a former French colony, and its government (pre civil war) was styled after France.
“…its government (pre civil war) was styled after France…”
I don’t know what kind of government France had when Lebanon’s was ‘modeled’ after it (was it the fourth republic?) but Lebanon’s government was divided along sectarian lines – and still is. The president is supposed to be a Christian, the PM a Sunni, etc. The parliament once had a 6-5 Christian majority. I don’t think France anything like that had that but maybe I’m wrong.
Besides, it’s the culture that matters – not the government – and trade is a Lebanese tradition dating back to Phoenician times.
@wootendw — for several decades, the formal name of the region was the “French Syria-Lebanon mandate” (after WW1 / end of the Ottoman empire). And back when France was a major colonial power (1700s plus or minus), France controlled what is now Lebanon / Syria (while England controlled what is now Iraq).
I don’t know why you think it is controversial to suggest France dominated Lebanon’s history. Google it if you like. Some authors will say France was wonderful, some say France was evil — but there is no dispute it was a French colony and post WW1 it was a French “mandate”.
Post WW2 — Lebanon was multi-sectarian and quite prosperous. Beirut was a favorite place for U2’s Bono to issue socialist lectures from 5-star hotels while protected from the masses… oh wait that is France today. In the 1950s and 60s, Beirut was a favorite place for movie stars and the like to holiday.
If you read the history of lebanon and substitute the word France instead… its uncanny how similar the tracks are.
France obviously hasn’t reached full out civil war yet, France is 1960s Lebanon.
“I don’t know why you think it is controversial to suggest France dominated Lebanon’s history.”
I didn’t say France didn’t dominate Lebanon. And I don’t know anything about rock music, Bono or U2 (except Sonny and plane flown by Francis Gary Powers). I merely asked when Lebanon went socialist. Before the 1975-1990 civil war or afterwards? And who brought it about?
@wootendw — there were quite a few socialist groups in pre-civil war Lebanon (the Druze party was the most prominent, but far from the only one). As in Afghanistan, the socialists caused a lot of disruption, but in the end their economic system only works “until they run out of other people’s money”… They ran out of other people’s money in Afghanistan in about 5-6 years; Lebanon took a bit longer, roughly the 10yrs before the “official” civil war started in 1975.
In both Afghanistan and Lebanon (and soon France), Muslim groups were better organized. Many would argue they were/are more numerous. The Taliban were able to consolidate power in much (not all) of Afghanistan (the northern alliance didn’t join for example). In Lebanon, there was the added chaos of Sunni / Shia violence sent in from Iran and Saudi/Qatari groups.
I am not saying any of these groups were right / wrong or had better/worse ethics than the other. Just saying the parallels are striking, especially if one looks past the western media version of events.
But socialism failed pretty quickly in all cases. Not every country has billions in oil wealth, so most socialist nightmares don’t last as long as Venezeula did.
Macron cannot govern France, he has no plans and no legislative party to implement a plan if he had one. Le Pen is cucko, but she was spot on to say France will be ruled by either Le Pen or by Merkel…. Looks like Angela Merkel is the new president of France (for now).
I still say England was the big winner in French elections. Relative stability versus a continent filled with debtors, unelected bureaucrats and political impotence.
Even the leaked emails made no difference.
So the French voters made their bed. Now they have to lie in it.
Don’t blame anyone else when your country implodes with debt, unbridled immigration that will destroy your culture and massive increases in crime.
Don’t blame Trump for your problems. You did it yourselves.
The French people weren’t allowed to see the emails… they were censored. Macron may have to face that music before he takes office (or else very early in his term). He is a lame duck even before the official election results are in.
If the corrupt establishment manages to “permanently” censor the emails, France is still ungovernable. Le Pen (crazy as she is) has a party with legislative seats — Macron has no party and no way to implement policy ideas if he had any.
England wins!!! England wins!!! England wins!!!
That should have been the first clue for the voters that they were being set up. If they were so stupid to ignore the email coverup – then that’s even more of a reason for them to eat their spoiled peas a year or two down the road.
F ’em.
Lebanon’s present is France’s future
https://static01.nyt.com/images/2015/11/16/world/16Lebanon-web1/16Lebanon-web1-master675.jpg
England is Uncle Sam’s fluffer.
Could be the other way ’round. Look no further than the prosecution of HSBC by the US Justice Department.
Have you seen anything on the emails?
It was released Friday so nobody had a chance to investigate it.
If it had been released earlier and some stuff was uncovered it could have change the results.
The question is more as wikileaks asked why was it released too late?
Either there is nothing, or France/EU is about to muscle their stand towards Russia.
A couple months after the EU imposed sanctions on Putin, Russneft, and so on… we all read the story of Total’s CEO “the mustache” being killed in a plane crash in Russia while negotiating another oil deal.
Don’t tell us that France’s flagship oil company was doing a deal in Russia without Paris knowing all about it.
Sure they knew and agreed. Sanctions were US & Germany wishes, and make little sense.
Now macron/Merkel/globalist might want to muscle their stand. It is a possibility. We will see.
All media is wary to publish, partly because they cannot verify, partly because:
http://static.ripostelaique.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Rochedysommation.png
Only selected media will get to question Macron now, the rest is under summary I guess, most of what I’ve seen does not look good but is not grounds for impeachment etc.
The tax evasion shell company La Providence llc was not locatable in Nevis, but not the end of that line of Q. More data promised… we’ll see. Macron’s public accounts don’t make much sense.
Might affect parliamentary vote if some of it sticks.
Timing was odd maybe, but could be for a number of reasons – to the point that some question if Macron released it himself with false info…conspiracy theories etc.
This site has some coverage ‘ gotnews ‘ .com, have to search it as I think it is blocked here .
Goodbye France, you had a good run…
They did?
Relatively, compared to what’s coming.
Congratulations, France, on your new Afro-Islamic state.
Fairly predictable result. Good luck to Macron and France.
Can he force the necessary changes?
He will have the EU and Merkel on side but what about the French people when massive state layoffs are needed?
Tax reforms will be easy but the fall in tax take, before the economy responds, will be a squeeze. Meanwhile EU inflation is likely to tick-up and French agricultural exports to the UK take a hit. Replacing UK demand for over priced products won’t be easy.
If the French don’t find themselves better off a LePen type is likely to win next time round.
For now the status quo can breathe easy. Macron, to be successful, needs to upset the apple cart (pardon the pun). Modern France might be weak enough to let that happen. Old France would have offered massive resistance to an upstart investment banker.
Word is 4 Million spoiled ballot papers.
4 Million turned out to spoil papers !
Some LE Pen voters were given a ripped Le Pen ballot paper meaning that if they dropped it it was considered spoiled and not counted.
All election machinery is controlled Socialists (Hollande) and the Republicans (Sarkozy, Fillon) and both wanted Macron because he is a status quo shell invented after it became clear that Hollande could not win another term.
Great day for France. Nasty neo-nazi goes down in flames. Geriatric US right wingers crying on Mish’s forum. A lovely day.
Phil, another view from Matthew Goodwin.
Austria: radical right sets new record w 46%
NL: Wilders vote & seat numbers up
France: 1 in 3 vote Le Pen, sets party record

Unless Macron responds to the inequalities that have been growing in France he’s already lost the next election.
He is unlikely to fix the problems as he’s not “one of the people” and will just tell people to accept whatever it is he can’t or won’t change.
The result is likely increased frustration in the traditional French heartlands outside the big cities and increased support for alternatives – LePen or her ilk.
Macron didn’t carry the traditional Catholic French areas.
Sure some will see it as a victory for Lepen.
However Lepen only got 10% more than first round, so it means 5 out of 6 that did not vote for either Lepen or Macron in 1st round, actually voted Macron to avoid Lepen.
Her first round results is the real percentage of French supporting her, and that is what we should expect in next month parliament elections. And it is less in % that what she did for the last EU elections.
“Great day for France.”
No, a great day for Brussels, Phil.
Must be Jupiter conjuncting the Moon LOL
A big win for pro-EU in France (2/3 voted against another crazy candidate; blame it on Trump);
in Germany another surprise win for the CDU (Mrs Merkel is smiling) in a state election (this time it is Schleswig-Holstein, big loss for the SPD, Schulz is “very disappointed”, it is now 2:0 for the CDU).
Germany is committing national Seppuku, EU will surely follow.
CDU has tightened Merkel’s open borders and welcome everybody policies and based on current policies Merkel is a better choice than Schulz and SPD because Schulz is even more for open borders and “refugees welcome” insanity of luring people to come to Germany than Merkel based on current policies and statements.
.
If Schulz and SPD want to win Merkel they will have to run on close the borders and send most of asylum seekers (aka welfareseekers) that came during 2015-2016 through several SAFE countries quickly back policies.
.
If Schulz and SPD are for open borders and for luring welfare seekers to come more than Merkel and CDU they will lose badly in elections.
.
Frauke Petry is continuing to SABOTAGE the election possibilities of AfD that she first sabotaged by her idiotic and irresponsible statement to a reporter that coming asylum seekers should be shot at the border if they would keep coming after borders were closed (she should have said that if one crosses the borders Germany will immediately return them to Austria and tell Austria to keep their borders closed also to the south) and now Frauke Petry is insisting that AfD should turn into a lapdog for Merkel and make compromises on all of their demands before elections.
.
So first Frauke Petry destroyed AfD’s chances by being too extreme and scaring voters away and now she is destroying AfD’s chances by turning away those voters who want change to Merkel’s policies and were not scared away before by insisting that AfD should go to elections as Merkel’s lapdog party who already before elections makes sure that voters know their demands are BS and they will make compromise after compromise.
.
To top of the complete cluelessness and failure of Frauke Petry as AfD leader she is causing internal fights among AfD and attacking her party members who want to provide an anti-merkel choice and hope of change in policies to Germans.
.
When the history of AfD will be written Frauke Petry’s incompetence and failure as party leader should be front and center.
Expect more immigration under Macron, not less.
This will feed the opposition ready for next time.
I doubt this will be the case but it has been doing the rounds

A bit naive. More like they are both on their knees saying ‘Woof!’ to somebody.
At least LePen will not be at the helm during France’s next social / economic downturn.
If you buy french products you are supporting Macron and Macrons desire for more EU-integration and more power to Brussels and also open borders and replacing europeans with africans and muslims as a policy choice by the elites.
.
I will never buy anything made in France as long as Macron is president.
France is lucky to have two irresponsible populists who do not like each other so they divide the vote of the clueless.
Now Macron has five years to show the real strength of France as a major constituent of the EU, a rich and powerful giant who badly needs to reform and streamline around it’s core by sidelining Orban-likes, getting more military and intelligence strength to show both to radical islamists and Putin their place. The Brexit vote made us a great service by inactivating the major obstacle in further integration of Europe and Trump by showing the risks of the populist vote.
As things stand the trajectory is clear. In just a few years, Europe will be divided into pro-Sharia and anti-Sharia member states.
Orban is a giant red flag – an early manifestation of this phenomenon.
What are you talking about?
Among the 11 presidential candidates zero had a pro-Sharia project.
Macron will continue the relatively strict French policy on illegal immigration and mandatory integration. Secularism and the republican identity will be enforced as before – there is a overwhelming national agreement on this spanning the whole political spectrum. One of his main campagne promises is to reduce class sizes in troubled neighborhoods to promote republican integration.
“Pro-Sharia” is extreme-right meme to stir up racist hate, not a valid political project, anywhere in Europe.
Sharia law is practiced in the french immigrant ghettoes with french authorities looking the other way and Macrons open borders fanaticism means those ghettoes will keep growing through high birth rates and further immigration through the new generation importing husbands and wives from the old homelands to make sure they are not too french.
.
When majority of voters in France want sharia they will democratically elect a president and parliament who gives them sharia.
France will turn to a sharia country led by islamists in 2040-2050 depending on the amount of kids made by the current muslims and africans in France.
.
There can be make-believe projects to enforce secularism and build a republican identity but if people do not like secularism and republican identity then it will be just french style posing as has been continuing for tens of years already with end results being continuing increase in percentages of muslims and africans and increase in ghettoization and ative rejection of french values among muslims and africans.
